If You Dont Care for invert or HD
than this trilogy is perfect for you. I been reading the reviews and most people dont like it due to it not looking HD or the invert is out, old classics aren't meant to be remasterd and i could care less about the invert. shoot, im glad its out i hate that, but if your looking for that stealthy feel you had when you were a kid 10 years ago then rent this, you'll be stealing your parents stuff again after even play this for an hour haha

Splinter Cell Trilogy
Splinter Cell was great then and its good now. The game play is as solid and even more clear to view with HD. 30+ years of gaming give myself and friends a better understanding of just having fun with video games. Kids today need to enjoy this trilogy for what is was. Stop comparing it to today. Appreciate the oldschool.:)

Good, but....
None of the 3 games have an invert camera option. If you play with inverted controls then you are out of luck with these 3 games.

None of the menus or load screens were re-done, so it still feels extremely dated and old when playing it.

The control scheme is not adjustable and not really in line with any games that have come out on the console in the last decade.

That being said, I've played all 3 when they originally came out, and they are all great games, just not a very high quality remake.

No one does steath better!
This game is an excellent value. Three time consuming great stealth games. This series is far better than the Metal Gear Solid series which has a tongue in cheek silliness to it. The Splinter Cell games play in a way most people cant embrace nowadays. It is a slow paced strategy and timing based covert ops game. Its not a run and gun shooter, if your looking for COD this is not it, this is in fact the opposite. But, having these 3 games in a single collection on the PS3 is great. These games were originally made for the last generation of consoles and the graphics hold up pretty good, especially Chaos Theory. The voice acting is top notch and there are some heart pumping moments as well. This is one of those games where you either "get it" or you don't. In an era of mindless run and gun military shooters this game is a nice look back at a series of games that focused on strategy and timing. I personally would have given this a 10 for the overall value of the game and the amount of hours of gameplay but there are 2 issues that i find unacceptable. Frame rate issues are prevalent, which you would think putting a last generation game on a next generation console would not be an issue anymore. The other issue is the cut scenes, they are really blurry and hard to watch because they are being upscaled from the older system resolution. Good thing is you dont really need to watch them and can skip them. But, if you are a fan of solid stealth or want a trip down memory lane with these great games you can't go wrong. Its an awesome value and no one does stealth better than Splinter Cell.

Nostalgia Only
If you are looking to find some new amazing title. This is not it. Although the games are/were fun in their time. The graphics and overall delivery of these titles is nothing to be excited about. They bring back nostalgia for about 10 min then you get bored.. real quick. I love the SplinterCell series. I just wish they would have remade these games to fit the current gen hardware.

Control Warning
For those of you that invert the Y look - you cannot do that in any of the three games. For me, that = an unplayable game. An unplayable game = a 1. That may not be fair, but serious, no option to change it???

The graphics looked really good on Chaos Theory, and it seemed to play like the original X-Box version - but besides that, it's back in the mail after about an hour. TG for gamefly.

Not very good
What can i say the game isn't very good. I played all three games and its just not good. The graphics are all right but the frame rate is awful. I got it when it first came out and sent it back two days later. If they had added new content that would have been awssome but they left it alone. Some games should stay in the past. This is one of those games. If your new to the Splinter Cell series this might be a great game for you. But being an old timer i was let down. All they did is over hall the graphics. thats probably why it only costs $26.99 to keep it.

A blast from the past that should stay in the past
What can I say, except the grahpics are pretty decent and it was fun being able to play the games I loved on the PS2. However, they could have at least updated the way the game saves...remember to save often, otherwise, you'll be starting from scratch. That was my biggest complaint since I've grown accustomed to auto-save. Beyond that, there was just not that much play-ability seeing as I played the heck out these games on my PS2. If you are new to Splinter Cell then you'll probably enjoy these games (even though they are aren't quite next gen). I just found myself bored and frustrated with the awkward movements and wishing that they could get a true PS3 SC game.
