One of the best rpgs of 2023
Stories and world improvements are a freat step up from OT1. There are multiple 2d rpgs in 2023 that are much much better than the 3d rpgs of 2023, especially in the quality of story and characters. Pretty weird we have reviewer saying this is an "baby" or "kids" rpg. Strange and couldn't be further from reality.

One of the Best 2023 RPG's
In a year when you had contendors like Baldur's Gate 3 and LoZ Tears of the Kingdom this game still stands out as one of the best.
The original Octopath kickstarted the 2.5HD look as well as bringing back turnbased combat and making it fun. This game did everything the original did and more. More diverse classes and skills. More connecting plot points between the characters. Kept up with the insanely good music and voice acting.
I sunk 80 hours into this game in 2 weeks when it released and before this I struggled to really play anything. If you're a fan of turnbased RPG's you need to give this a shot.

y the low score? its better the first one
new characters and im loving the new areas to explore, some skills got changed and the classes got changed but thats understandable for balance reasons, combat isn't mediocore

It's mid and babies first jrpg but
They still made the same mistakes they did in the other game. If you're gonna do a large party like this you need to give it the Tales of service. And once again the balance is well busted. You will be overleveled, overpowered and super equipped by most of the story.
It is also still a pain to swap parties and my word I still have no idea why there are so many items in this game.
The only hard fight in this game is the superboss and that's less because he is mechnically strong and more to do with how utterly out of nowhere some of its gimmicks are.

RPG'ing for Kids
This is a VERY "basic" and simple RPG that really is geared towards young children. Not a bad game, just don't expect anything groundbreaking or that exciting...
