persona
This is not as good as persona 3 or 4 but its still fun. If you like dark souls hard then here you go...its not so much the combat so expect lufia 2 difficult puzzles. I don't like easy rpgs but i had to turn the difficulty down a few times. etrian odyssey is not a good combo same with 7th dragon. good game thoe.

Totally blew my expectations!
To be honest I didn't really know what to expect from this game. I have been a fan of the persona series for a long time, and this concept excited me but worried me on the other hand because it was coming to the 3DS. I had no reason to be worried what so ever because they executed the game perfectly. I love the story line and the gameplay. I am really happy with this game, and after finishing it I am excited to play it again with persona 3's protagonist.

Personally Not For Me
I'm a big RPG/JRPG fan, so I thought I'd give this game a try. I've never played the Persona series but wanted to try the game out anyway since it got pretty good reviews. If you're looking to rent this game and you're also naive to the Persona series, I'd suggest passing this game up. Even though it's just a rental, it's not worth all the time it takes to ship to you and ship back. Again, nothing personal (pun intended), but it wasn't a good game for a newcomer to the series.

not a persona game.
Wasn't necessarily expecting it to live up to P4, but figured it would at least be up to P3 standards.. thought it might play something like a SMT game. Unfortunately this plays like a PS1 Era generic dungeon crawler with the persona cast. The art style just doesn't work either . Extremely disappointed

Colorful etrian/persona cross.
As a fan of both the etrian mapping rpgs and the shin megami(offshoot of persona), I really love this game. It's controls are slightly backwards if you happen to switch between an etrian game and this one. It also seems light on quests but does a great job of developing characters for those of us that never played the actual persona games. I even enjoy the music which I don't usually turn on for very long.

Mostly good, but a few small issues.
Those who have played a lot of persona 3 and 4, may be a bit lost at first. For example, you don't get money from winning battles like you used to. There are also some spots where you can get trapped, but i won't say where for the sake of not spoiling. Other than these smaller issues, the game is so far phenomenal. I'm juggling each side of the story, and it is very fun.

Help
I can't stop playing! This is crazy! I put in 8 hours in one day and I'm on the Persona 4 story! This is a keeper. Most definitely. Get it. Try it for a few hours.
