Splatoon 3

i am glad i have gamefly for these games. Because the single player of this game works just fine. But the other half of the game is ruined by the constant connection problems. which is that when you get into a game you get booted out the game due to connection problems and then if it keeps happening you just have to wait in the lobby for 7 mins because it banned you. After this happened to me twice in a row i decided to just send it back. So if nintendo can fix this problem i will give this game another shot. until then i will just have to see how this game does

Playing this game reminds me why I HATE online games from Nintendo. It feels too easy to be overwhelmed, the opponents focus so much on kills that it makes playing unfair and impossible and the way they changed so much from 2 makes even getting the new weapons a total pain. And it stings so much that I love the world and its characters but the gameplay itself makes me want to throw my Pro Controller in rage.

This might be a decent game... if it wasn't for the constant online connection problems! Nearly half of the time, you get dropped from a match because of Internet connection problems. Whenever the maps change, there is a high chance you will be dropped from your match and booted from the lobby. If this happens more than twice, you are banned from playing the game for 7 minutes. To add insult to injury, you get a hostile warning message blaming you for the Internet issue. This ruins the gameplay experience for me and my daughter, and makes the game a huge disappointment for us. Someday, if and when Nintendo decides to work out the issues in their matchmaking service, this might be a fun game to play. But right now it is an utter mess, and I regret the purchase. The online gameplay is the whole reason we bought the game, and with that being a glitchy mess, the game is essentially worthless. For those who might place blame for this problem on "user error"... I work as an IT professional and am something of an expert in computer networking. My home network is set up to be reliable and problem-free. I live in a well-populated California city and have a high-grade Internet service. And my Switch is located in the same area of my house as a number of other wireless devices, which never experience any problems. Yes, the Switch has notoriously bad Wi-Fi radio hardware. Even so, I suspect that the Splatoon 3 networking code is poorly implemented. I daresay they released the game without allowing for ample time to load-test it under realistic conditions. I hate when companies rush out a game prematurely just to meet some quarterly profit goal, and let the users deal with all the issues, while the company takes its time fixing a product that people already paid for. Sadly, this seems to be another example of this tactic. And shame on Nintendo for having the gall to display warning messages that blame the user for this problem!
