Make a beeline for adventure in this game based on the Bee Movie. Playing as the quick-moving and quick-witted Barry B. Benson, you'll start in the bustling bee town New Hive City. The adventure then spills outside the hive and into New York, where you'll outrun and outgun enemies and other dangers in thrilling chases and showdowns. Activate your Bee Vision to locate safe zones and pollen, use Barry's Bee Reflexes to slow time and escape sticky situations, and more. On top of 15 richly detailed levels, you'll find multiplayer modes, side quests, mini-games, and the Generation Hex Arcade, where some old-school Activision classics have been given a bee-flavored makeover.

Whatever you do, BUY SOMETHING ELSE!!!
Bee Movie Game is one of those cases when the movie is great, but the game is a giant piece of crud. The game has bugs, annoying controls, and the voice acting is good, but when you die and have to restart a level you were about to beat and a character says "What did I tell ya, kid! Next time listen to my directions more carefully!", it gets kind of frustrating. The controls don't receive the controls at all, like when you want to turn the voice acting off, the next time the Wii goes on, it's back in. Sometimes you need to shake the Wii remote, but it doesn't respond most of the time. The first time you play this game, you'll be saying how maybe it's satisfactory or something like that. But when you get to a certain point in the game, you'll probably trade it in. They aren't too specific about what you are supposed to do. When a down arrow appears on the screen, I pressed +Control Pad down. That didn't work, so I flicked the Wii remote down. Nothing. Finally, I figured out that it was the Nunchuk control stick, as everyone else finds out on their third try. If you are thinking about buying a Wii game, Stay far away from this and get Mario Kart instead. You'd save a lot of money. The Multiplayer minigames are totally messed up, so don't even think about playing them. Sometimes the soundtrack is catchy and it's fun looking around New Hive City for honey and mini-missions. But hey, do you really want to spend $30 on a soundtrack and mini-missions?

Typical Movie Tie In; Its OK; But These Are Better
THIS DEFINITLY DOES NOT WARRANT A 9!!
The control layout is shotty at best, the camera can get in the way and this is way to short on content to have any lasting appeal (even for a kid). Here are better movie games...
Shrek 3rd, Ice Age 2, Disneys Chicken Little, Ratatouille, TMNT, & Spongebob Krusty Krab (I am not sure if that was a movie but the game was good). This is not worth a rental; I never saw the movie and based on the game {I'm not going to}.

This Is A Fun Game
We rented this game and my 9 year old son loves it. I love it too. There are a lot of mini games to play within the game itself. You collect honey like money and the more you collect better things you can buy. Like cars and costumes. We have a blast. I highly recommend this game! We are looking forward to when it becomes available for purchase.

Game is too easy for my 9 year old.
My son had played this game on this PS2 and enjoyed it. He found however, like several WII games he was able to complete the entire game in about 2 days. The game has good graphics and instructions, but needs more content.

Awful
Terrible game! In all honesty I dont even think it compares to the other kid games out there. It has a lot of unnessacary walking around in the begining just to get to a point where you can play the game. Then once you do play the game it isnt even fun! Driving the bee car around was pointless bc you cant run into things so you can never do better or worse. It does give you a chance to see how you are improving by running thru some purple light in the road but still no satisfaction gained. Like most "Kid" games there a little mini games. For this one you have to doge obstacles and if you fail it automatically makes you repeat it until you pass. Another mini game is like planko from the price is right. I wouldnt rent this game - go with anything else!

Ive played this game for ps2 and the computer versions and on both of them it was fun. The wii version is much better than both of those. yes the lvels are a little difficult and when you die u have to start the chapter over but overall it si a pretty fun game for the wii much better than the ps2 and computer versions.
