Get ready to explore the world as you've never seen it before. Step into the stylized shoes of Coraline, the heroine of the novella and feature film by the same name. Journey through two different worlds, including the peculiar Normal World and the whimsical and fascinating Other World. Solve puzzles, interact with other characters, collect items and combine it all with traditional action gameplay. Unlock collectables from the film, including artwork and ways to alter Coraline's looks. Use every bit of your system's capabilities as you accept the challenge of truly one-of-a-kind puzzles and areas which spring from the mind of best-selling author Neil Gaiman.

Great Game
I let my daughter rent this game she can't get enough, she loves this game. Even her friends like it even though they have not seen the movie. Even i kinda like to watch her play the game its cool not just the same as the movie but it is close enough and i would recommend this game if you have children you like to be scared. Well not scared but really love horror movie/games so get this for your daughter or son boys like this too.

ok game
this game is probably best suited to younger people because a lot of the stuff you have to do is fairly easy. EXCEPT! there are some things that were so hard for me that only about a third of the way thru i quit and sent it back to gamefly.

not done yet
I rented this game and returned it the next day. I'm not up on the correct terms but the game looked like it was in the "making of" process. If you have ever seen the process of making an animated movie then you know what I am talking about. The characters mouth didn't move with the words and the faces kept shifting. it was creepy for a kids game. Also, I chose this game because I'm a simple jump over the mushroom and collect coins girl. this game is for your 1st grader. maybe that's why the game looks like a mess.

Coraline game review
This game I thought would be decent but its a kids game pure and simple, unlike the Movie, the game does not follow the movie, and your pretty limited as to where you can go. Played it for a few hours and then decided it was not for me, perhaps you might like it for your kids but def not for adults

Coraline - Great movie, not so great game
I received this game yesterday and couldn't wait to play it because the movie was so quirky and good. The game starts out fairly nicely but jerky controls quickly become problematic. The storyline moves along at the pace it should and the music fits every level.
For those with children who will be playing this game, expect a very high level of frustration fairly quickly. The simplest moves (i.e. climbing onto a box) are so awkward and there are spots where the camera just won't let you see what you are doing.

There is also a big glitch in this. On the level where you follow the Amazing Bobinski into the barn to find his security code, you will (finally) start crossing the barn. Just as you reach the other side, the screen goes black, though the audio still plays. Having reset the game three times, cleaning the disc and checking my machine, the only conclusion is that this is an in-game glitch that the developers should have fixed before releasing. I had to pay to skip the level and move on, and missed a large chunk of the game in the process. Actually, the developers should have taken more time and fixed a lot of stuff before release.

The final level is such a mish-mash of ill-timed button pressing that anyone under the age of 13 will probably throw their controller through the TV. I usually find quite a bit to like in most every video game, but this one is just so bad that it's not worth renting.
NOT FOR E ~cute for kids
Coraline rated E makes a cute kiddie game however, they're r some challenging parts that even i had some trouble w. For the most part its an easy, short and decent game when the disc didn't freeze up.

Graphics rnt that great and repetitive and the characters movements r limited and clumsy.
It was difficult moving Coraline, sometimes she would just stay in one position or go the wrong way.

I had the disc freeze up on me or "reading error",
occur a couple times (I checked for scratches and wiped the disc clean) and I would have to reload the game it was so freaking annoying! It has auto save so thats cool at least I didn't have to start all over again.
At the very end before I could beat the last boss, the disc just kept repeating itself! I cant tell if the game I rented was messed up by over-use or if this is some manufacturers mistake.

I just wanted a game which was simple and that I could beat in like a day or two bc im always stuck w brilliant but crazy hard games.

Although Coraline is not for Everyone, it was just the game I needed to chill out.
