Not even close to a finished product
Im a die hard fallout fan and was super stoked for this game and I have encountered more bugs and glitches than I have ever experienced in my life. It's a good idea that needs about 2 more years of work before it's even playable. I encountered my third game breaking glitch today and put in about 36 hours and I'm officially giving up and sending it back. I bought pubg while it was still in its development stage and didnt experience bugs like I have in fo76. This is far from a finished game ready to hit the market. Fallout 4 had better graphics, collision detection, story line, and gameplay. Bethesda should be ashamed of themselves for ever letting this go to market.

Fallout die hard fan
laggy, dull, repetitive, bad story, lonely . Somewhere along the road this fallout game lost some of its core values compared to other previous games. Developers focused too much on the online feature and somehow compromise some of the valuable aspects of the original fallout experience.

I miss fallout...
Fallout is (was) my favorite series. They took the best things about the series, removed them, and came out with a pandering bastardization of Fortnight and Skyrim online; then they tried to throw in some aspects of Destiny to appeal to more people. That's what this game feels like - a kid trying to make everyone like him, which inevitably makes him annoying. The dialogue - and NPCs in general - are gone. The storyline and soul are watered down to the point of near nonexistence. VATs is ridiculous, bordering on pointless. The game is nothing but repetition of loops and listening to recordings - with some decent crafting if that's your thing. The whole point of Fallout was being a lone wanderer who found an occasional companion when it suited and made decisions that dramatically changed the storyline and NPC behavior. The only reason I see someone wanting to play this is if they want to play a game that's kinda sorta like Fallout, but with PvP and crafting. This game fits with the series about as well as Fallout Shelter. I honestly tried to like it, but after 15 levels, I threw in the towel. I'm so glad I didn't buy this game.

Not the Fallout standard.
I tried but put it back in the mail 3 hours later.

Dull for me
I simply could not get into it. Yes, there's content to discover, but it just wasn't compelling. The game felt like a stripped down Fallout 4 with multiplayer.

15 bucks
When I hit a bug I just moved on to another quest. In the end the bugs win.
You got your cheaters and bugs and it wears you out.
The story is there and I enjoyed most of the tales told. I really don't need the verbal dialogue to come from some humanoid type thing to connect to the story.
The game feeling lonely is propaganda by "influencers" but they don't really play games now do they. People are always around.
Generally outside of a few bad apples the community is mostly friendly.
It's just fallout 4 chocked full of the side bits and none of that main story that wasn't so good.
Massive patches, terrible servers, To many bugs makes this a game that needs a few more years to bake. Much like no man's sky.
I can't recommend this game in it's state and no fan should either. Bethesda serves us fans, not the other way around. There's so many games these days we need not be thirsty for one developer.

If dog poo was a video game, then it would be FO76
What happens when you remove all story and personality from a broken and barely functioning game engine? You get the flaming bag of dog doo called Fallout 76. Even as a rental, the price to play this game is too high. I feel bad for anyone that spent money on this game.

ok at first
It was ok till you hit level five when pvp is enabled the higher level player check map see you are level 5 and chase you down and wreck your entire game and kill you. They took a good game and made it cancerous.

Play Red Dead instead
Never thought I'd say I'd rather play COD or a Rockstar game over a Bethseda game, but this one sucks. Soulless, boring, buggy, and pointless--its primary gameplay loop is everything I disliked about Fallout 4 (loot and base building) and none of the stuff I liked (characters, exploration).
It would be an honest statement to say that COD Blackout 4's single player is better than playing Fallout 76 alone, and COD 4 doesn't have a single player!!
