Escape from the iron heart of Nazi Germany! Based on the classic movie and true story, The Great Escape combines action and adventure into an unforgettable gaming experience. Reprising the role of Steve McQueen as Virgil Hilts, you have been shot out of the sky and captured by Nazi soldiers. Once in the most heavily guarded prison in Germany, you will lead a small band of Allies prisoners on a journey to freedom! Along the way you will adventure through 20 levels across occupied Europe, use authentic weapons and vehicles, and wreak havoc on Nazi Germany from the inside! Nothing can hold you back!

this a fun game based on a good movie i recommend it to every one who is into this type of game

great game
reminded me of Alcatraz and prisoners trying to break out... It was good because it did not consist of just shooting people, there was strategy, etc. to it. Loved it!

terrible game
A few of you said that this game is really good, but hate to tell you that this game is terrible. Ya'll are a bunch of liars. But, there's also one other person who said that this game doesn't work, which is also a lie. It works fine on my system. But again, this game is terrible. Don't rent this game, and don't listen to these people who lies about this game saying that this game is good and that it doesn't work. This game is terrible, and it does work. At least one person says that it doesn't. It does work. It works on my system. Ya'll must be crazy or something. Except for the fact that ya'll are.

If you like the film, you'll like the game
This game is fun, especially if you're a fan of the original film AND you like games that need to be accomplished in stealth. This game takes a lot of patience and can be frustrating as well. The graphics are OK for it's time. If you enjoy strangling Nazis, sneaking around, and WW2 style espionage then I say this one may be a title worth your while.
