There's cold, and there's Arctic cold. There are the Winter Games, and now there are the Arctic Games! Ice Age takes winter sports to a wacky new level with this cold-weather competition inspired by Ice Age: Continental Drift! The herd goes up against a band of pirates in an all-out contest to see who can take home the most treasure. Compete in ten arctic athletic challenges where you'll hop, dash, and smash in events like Glacier Hopping, Ski Jumping, the Prehistoric Plumber, and the Coconut Slingshot. Earn gold, silver, and bronze acorns as a reward for your performance in single-player modes like Free Play and Story or in fast-moving multiplayer.

Games that are tiring and lacking imagination
The gang from the Ice Age franchise is back for the fourth time on the big screen – and also for the game that is (loosely) based on that film
Ice Age: Continental Drift – Artic Games doesn’t have much of a story attached to it. Here, the heroes and pirates play 10 games to determine who gets the loot.
Problem is, the games aren’t very inventive; most of them involve a race to see who gets to the finish line faster.
The rest involve a pair of targeting games, a game of curling, a simplistic jumping game and a plug the hole in the ice game.
After the games are played, one team wins, and the story mode is over – about thirty minutes after it starts. This is one of a few games where I spent as much time watching cut scenes as playing mini games.
After that, there’s very little reason to go back and try the Story mode a second – or a third – time.
Another problem is that a few games have incomplete and confusing instructions – namely the one where you fix the holes in the ice.
But what’s really lackluster about this game is the multiplayer. Only two players can participate (four is what I was looking for in these types of games). And there’s no head to head competition; it’s one player goes, then the other for the shortest time, longest time or most points. It’s really dull.
Ice Age: Continental Drift Artic Games is a bland mini game compilation that’s made only to take more money out of your pocket. Some kids may have fun because of the simple controls, but other players won’t. SKIP IT.
