Hardcore InuYasha Fans Will Like This
::Repeats what my title states:: The game itself is cute. I mean seeing them all in a chibi form is pretty hilarious. It can get pretty repetitive at times. You tend to get to parts where you get stuck and have no idea what you're doing to the point where you want to put the controller down and just walk away but persevere and you'll get through it. (Those who have played through it probably know which part I'm talking about). The actually battles are almost exactly like Xenosaga so if you adore that game like me then you'll be playing this game for hours just for the battles. But like in Xenosaga and Pokemon, if you just want to run to one area in a timely manner, you can't do that because of the battles that you run into. But then again, that's a main part of the game. But it doesn't keep it from being aggravating at times. The fact that the voice actors from the show are present really helps the game in my opinion. (Shippo's so serious sometimes it's hilarious). I haven't beaten the game as of yet but what I have played of it I have just loved. Of course that could juse be because I adore InuYasha.

InuYasha: The Secret of the Cursed Mask
If you like the anime series, you'll enjoy this game to some extent. The voice actors from the cartoon series are employed for this game which takes a lot away from the short comings of it.
You get a choice of gender for your character and get lost in time. Along the way you meet all the favorites, and you get to spend a few personal moments with them. It's fun to play around with.
This game definitely requires a guide as some areas of it are difficult and easy to get lost in. Also there are very few save points and some are hidden.
The combat engaged within the game is smeared with repeat phrases the characters say (which gets old fast) and some sound bytes cut short all together. A sense of impetus lacks here and the game can become frustrating when roaming about the map.
You can definitely tell that not much time or effort was invested in the creation of this game. When you choose the female character, most conversations seem logical. However, when you choose the male, the conversations seem odd when InuYasha responds to the character with a feminine pronoun. If you try the game, it you'll pick up what I mean. And if you are looking for computer generated graphics, just forget it. The movies are taken from the show.
The storyline is cute and at times still exciting. But if it hadn't been InuYasha I would have thought this a VERY BAD game.

Shut them Up
Inuyasha was a decent game in terms of simple gameplay. It has a dating sim-ish feel to it, seeing as you can better your relationship with the character of your choosing. And it is the ultimate in Mary-Sue's. It wouldn't have been so bad if there was an option of skipping the scenes. You don't even have the option of walking away and coming back when it's over, because you have to prompt everyone to speak. It was enough to make me turn off the game at some points.

Fun, but hard
I loved the fact that the voices were the same from the anime, the characters were chibi and there were anime scenes. However, the map was hard to understand and I spent a good five minutes figuring out how to get from one stage to another. If you want to play this game, check out the hints and instructions on this site. It's the only reason I got past the first level. Although I gave up after running around the temple trying to find the spider demon.

not much...
avid inuyasha fans will probably love this game. but theres really nothing good about it. the graghics suck and gameplay standerd. the game has a lot of gliches like if you run to many times it will freaze, not a good thing for a game that makes battleing so boring. the real capture to the fans though is you can make a side love story between your character and any other inuyasha character. this game. the only reason i didn't give it a four is because i sorta like the seris, but only true inuyash fans will love this game, every one else should stay away

The Stinker
This game kinda stinks buts its ok..... the battle mode is like final fantasy ,RPG style, and that is just stupid. THe game is kinda old so i can't blame the the people who made this game... and the dialog stinks too and they look like little anime' and I really don't like it that much.... especially with my Inuyasha.

that's all,

Inuyasha: secret of the cursed mask
Inuyasha games have been a hit to many inuyasha fans in the past but this game is a rpg that will most likly get to all the inuyasha fans and all the rpg fans. Most tv show hosts like adam sesler and morgan webb hate anime games. Well there rong to say most things about anime games so far. The reason i say this is because that most anime games are awsome and i think that Inuyasha: secret of the cursed mask will be a hit in fall 2004!!!!

pretty good, for Inuyasha
I waited with eager anticipation for this game, and for the most part it didn't disappoint. I'll start with the graphics. If graphics are a big draw for you, this one may not be right for you. As you explore, your characters look a lot like Final Fantasy VII. Only during the cutscenes do you see them as they appear in the series. There also doesn't seem to be a variety in appearance as far as enemies go, just different colors.
The gameplay is pretty standard for a turn based RPG. You make the characters take action using menus on the battle screen. By the way, the random encounters in this game are very frequent, sometimes occuring every ten seconds or even closer at times. This can be very irritating if you don't like to fight. Don't shirk it too much though, for two reasons. The first is that there apparently is a glitch that causes the game to freeze if you flee too much. The second is that battles are crucial to recover your energy supply. You see, you gain energy points as you attack, defeat enemies, and get this: you gain energy as you are attacked! Keep in mind that you need energy to perform special attacks.
Saving is really easy, since all you have to do is press triangle on the world map. There are also certain areas where you can save during your time in major areas such as the old temple and the castle.
The voice acting in the game are hit and miss. the main characters are voiced by the english speaking cast from the series, and they are good as always. Other characters that appear only in the game tend to have rather mediocre voice acting.
Overall, this game is worthwhile, if you have patience. As I mentioned earlier, battles tend to be rather frequent. Inuyasha fans should rent it first, to see if you like it. Those unfamiliar with The Inuyasha series likely won't enjoy this game, since the characters aren't well developed within the story. Hence, you may get confused.

inuyasha the secret of the cursed mask
this game was very dull for an rpg because all of the dungeons look the same and i thought the game was way too short it should have more side quest in it if you are looking for a good rpg then stick to the tales series or Atelier
