Pretty much indestructible. That's what you'll be when playing as Iron Man, the storied Marvel Comics hero. As Iron Man, you're the only weapon you'll need. Do battle - alone - against tanks, jets, Super Villains, and other enemies. Create attacks by directing power to different parts of Iron Man's suit. Open-ended battlefields are crazy and chaotic, filled with challenges designed to rattle even the most super of heroes. Go beyond the film and enter the universe of the Marvel Comic as you move seamlessly between land combat and air combat in the game's open world.

cookie cutter movie game.....pretty poor
this game was pretty poor.
i think games based directly off of movies are for the most part are cookie cutter, throw it together for the debut date, and make a few extra bucks games.
personally i really liked the movie. loved comics growing up,
and i took a chance because why not.
i was interested to see what the flight sim was like and it was as
expected...decent. other then that i found it kinda lame, & unrealistic.
they could have done a much better job.

TONY STARKS HIMSELF COULDNT ADAPT TO CONTROLS
LIKE ALL DIEHARD FANS OF MARVEL I SAW THIS MOVIE AND WAS BLOWN AWAY THAT THEY FINALLY DID A MARVEL MOVIE ACCURATLY. LIKE MOST OTHER AVID FANS I SIT AND PICK APART THE MOVIES AND POINT OUT THE IMPERFECTIONS. SO NATURALLY I WAS VERY IMPRESSED WITH THE MOVIE. AND THATS WHERE IT SHOULDVE STOPPED. NORMALY I DONT PLAY GAMES BASED ON MOVIES. I FEEL IT LEAVES VERY LITTLE TO THE IMAGINATION IN THE WAY OF "PLOT" AND THIS GAME IS NO DIFFERENT. ITS BAD. ITS EXTREAMLY HARD AND FRUSTRATING TO CONTROL HIM. ITS ALLMOST LIKE YOU HAVE TO BE APART OF S.H.E.I.L.D. TO KNOW THE CONTROLS OF THE GAME. THEY TRIED TO DO TOO MUCH AND AS A RESULT CAME OUT WITH A FLOP. BUT IF YOUR A FAN OF "SUPER HERO BEATING UP THE ARMY AND GOVT" GAMES THEN HERE YA GO. IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A GAME THATS WORTH YOUR TIME AND EFFORT. LOOK ELSEWHERE. YOUR BETTER OFF WATCHING THE MOVIE IF YOUR STILL IRONMAN HUNGRY

Disappointing but fun
Worth a rent... but don't set your expectations too high...

Good:
-Controlling Iron Man is a blast, and the controls are, for the most part, pretty good (they could stand to be tightened up a bit: see below).
-Voice acting is decent (original actors from the movie!).
-Special kills for large enemies (tanks, helicopters, etc.) are a nice touch

Bad:
-Can't believe games like this don't have an enemy lock-on for the camera. Most of the time you get killed because you are sweeping the incredibly slow (seeming) camera around to find out where the enemies are. Very frustrating during boss battles and in tight spaces.
-The voice acting is good, but the cut scenes they are in are not. Even though all of the actors were digitized into the game, all of the animations were pretty terrible - the characters' lips barely move when they talk, their motions are unnatural, etc., etc.
-The levels and enemies get very repetitious. The seemingly endless parade of tanks and helicopters would have been more bearable if the special kill animations changed at all, but they don't. The one special kill for a tank, for example, is the same for every tank in every level throughout the game - and once you've seen it a couple of times, it's not really worth the time. Heck it's downright difficult just to get close enough to a helicopter to do the special kill, and when you do, it's a big lame let-down.
-Losing a level is the worst thing possible. Even if you've been playing a level for 15 minutes or more (and some of these are big levels), if you die, you'll be starting from the very beginning. This includes having to watch all of the unskippable story set-up for the level - which is sometimes irritating even on the first go-round ...towards the end of the game I found myself not really caring about the story anyway.

Bottom line: You can tell this game was rushed to market to coincide with the film (which, BTW, was flippin' AWESOME). It's fun to play through once, but gets old quickly.

challenging
when I got the game it wasn't that incredible than I thought it would.as I began to play,it had got fustrating until the 9th level.I took it back until the 11th level.at the end of the 11th level the man got fustrating,at first I thought that he was weak but then he got ultulmatly hard and really mad was that I couldn't even hit him and when you get killed you have to start the whole thing over again. game tip:never know whats going to happen. it shouldn't just be about the movie it should be about Iron man like the spider-man games

don't waste your time
The movie was great, the game not as good. Great graphics, and cut scenes. But your doing the same thing over and over again. It gets old real fast. This would have been a better game if it wasn't about the movie and was just about iron man. The whole your just repeating the same missions. Do waste your time.

It's a game based on a movie..so don't expect much
This is not the first time i play games that based on movies, and still i was stupid enough to rent this!!.. Iron man is a decent game.. for about 2 hours!!.. The gameplay and graphic is decent, easy to use. Since it's movie based... the story had to follow the movie, so there's no surprise there. You will spend of the time battling similar enemies and using the same moves over and over, going from similar place, from one to another. In summary, Iron man is one repetitive game with levels being similar to each other through out... Only rent this if you are a fan, if not... it's better to look elsewhere. After all, it's a game based on a movie, which was released on every platform there is!! so they probably didn't have time to make it refine it.. instead just using the cut and paste method..
