rinse, lather, repeat
it may be time for traveler's tales to retire Lego games. while not necessarily a bad game, it's just as boring as all the ones you have played before. nostalgia wears off quickly when all you are trying to do is collect bricks. if you are a fan of Lego games you are already used to this, so unless you are a Star Wars fan there's no need not any satisfaction in playing it

It's ok
Game is ok I guess for another cross gen game to waste my series x on. but it crashed and took an hour a play time with it and now I've lost what little interest I had in it.

So broken it can't be finished
There's a bug in the story that makes the game impossible to progress. I've looked it up online, and everyone is having this issue. It's been there since launch, and the developers have made no sign that they intend to fix it. Ridiculous.

It's huge! So much Lego gameplay.
After the regular 'release date' updates, it's working fine. There is so much content in this game. The only bigger Lego game was the Harry Potter combo pack. There's tons of open gameplay, levels and space to explore. They added 'missions' to each level (not just the collectibles for each level) that open up a lot of exploration. You can track paths to each collectible and there's lots of variety in play. If you like the way the Lego games are, you'll love this one.

Needs some tweaks
It's an extremely large game, which makes sense considering it covers all 9 movies. However, alot of the quests are very repetitive, the controls can be difficult to use (force powers are the worst), and minor glitches that could be fixed with a patch (tool tips appearing after turning them off) remain despite the game having been out for several months. The DLC doesn't add meaningful content either, it's only character packs. I didn't bother 100% completing the game as it was dragging on, and just awful to continually repeat the same things over and over again. The developers did a good job encompassing all the movies, and creating rich graphics with unique planets, but the playability and replayability really kills this game.

Some Improved Gameplay But Overall A Let Down
There are really only two good points that I can attribute to this game, and they are fairly minor. First, as expected this is the best-looking Lego game yet but that doesn't mean that it even really impresses on the XSX since it is just a Lego game. Second, some cover and aiming mechanics have been added as well as some new and unique abilities for each character type, but the core gameplay is the same so it ultimately doesn't matter. That's it it ends there, and the bad things about the game heavily outweighed any fun that I had. The missions are incredibly short and combined with the way the game cuts down the "real movie content" it feels a bit like a bait and switch calling this the Skywalker Sage. It is more like Lego-ified selected scenes in chronological order. As someone who has played most if not all of the other Lego Star Wars games the core levels are weak. And to add insult to injury the way that heavier themes are dumbed down to oG rating levels is much more extreme than in any other Lego game, changing the tone completely and omitting scenes. I know it is ostensibly a game made for kids but it misses the mark in trying to tell the movies full story and it features some of the worst Lego humor yet. The main flaw that is worse than that is that the game is based of navigating the overworld locations and doing some ultimately meaningless and not so fun side quests. Think Ubisoft but even less fun going point to point. It turns into a lego running simulator and they must have known that because the first forced upgrade your character gets is to run around these bloat overworlds faster so you can run through this Disney Land Lego sets faster and faster because the meat of the game is side quests where that is all you do. The RPG elements fall flat because these games are easy in their own right and you can't turn on the cheats for free for younger and little kids. I can recommend for older fans of the series at all.

good game
Good game for lego game players, but I hate when people say that this game is broken when it works fine. There's nothing broken about this game. I guess people know when other people are lying about this game when they say that this game is broken when it's not.
