Mario and company hits the tees.
Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour is a great game. It's got great characters, fun game modes, and challenging courses with lots of hazards. It has singles play, doubles play, tournament mode, ring mode, and more. The gameplay is amazing and the graphics are great, and it has great replay value. Although, it dose borrow some features from the Hot Shots Golf series, it's a great game. I would recommend this game to those who are a huge golfing fanatic or those who love playing the Mario series. This game gets a perfect 10 from me.

Mario Golf:Toadstool Tour
Here's an amazing fact:I HATE GOLF. I don't know how, I don't know why, but somehow I fell madly in love with it. (Really- I wish it was human so I can marry it.) It was challenging, hilarious, interactive, and so much fun. (Let me just remind you- I HATE GOLF.) It pleased me in so many ways, I can't think of any reason to not like it. I LOVE THIS GAME. To golf lovers and Mario lovers everywhere, BUY IT!

Mario Golf One Under Par
First off, the game is solid. The courses are fun and the classic Nintendo characters have their moments.

The good: Each character has his or her own swing style and swing result. Some might hit every shot with a strong arc (ball still goes to the right place, just takes a different route) from right to left, some hit for power, some hit for accuracy, etc. I really loved this part of the golfing experience because it meant adjusting paths over and around obstacles in different ways for each character.

The courses look great and the holes are laid out nicely. There's little to complain about in the graphics department overall - it's classic Nintendo/Mario style and the feel is just right.

There are a nice variety of game modes to play around with. No sense going into detail, but they cover the traditional ways to play golf in real life.

The bad: I didn't like the controls. The actual three-button swing worked fine, perhaps too fine. What I mean is that it's just too easy to hit a perfectly timed shot every time, even from the rough or sand. Once you get used to a particular character, you'll be hitting birdies and eagles all the time. That sounds nice in theory, but in practice it ends up requiring little skill.

There are no caddies! Maybe I've been spoiled by the over-the-top suggestiveness of Outlaw Golf (both 1 and 2 are faves of mine) and the silly antics of Hot Shots Golf, but I felt like Nintendo really missed a bet not having caddies to help celebrate victory and mourn defeat. The post-hole animations were just plain boring.

I also missed having voices in the game. "Sparse" doesn't begin to describe the game's sound design, with just a few sound effects and simple music.

Not a lot of time left, so here's the bottom line: For a cartoon golf game on the Gamecube, this is probably the way to go. If you have a PS2 or Xbox, though, there are much better choices available.

Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour is great!
I must say, when I first played Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour, it was amazing! I used Mario, and I always get the power shot, and get near the green almost all the time. I would recommend this game, and recommend Yoshi, and Mario in a golfing tournament. Yoshi has a good shot sometimes, but most of the time, I'm always hitting it out of bounds, which isn't good. Some people I shouldn't suggest is Bowser, Wario, and Donkey Kong. Bowser's power shot are too powerful. Wario, oh don't get me started with Wario. Whenever he gets mad, sometimes he will pick up a boulder, throw it and get mad. But he dumb self doesn't know that the boulder is still over him. Plus, his shots are electric shots, but it's powerful. IF you want to use him, then that's up 2 you. And Donkey Kong, jeez, his power shot are almost way powerful than Bowser's! Those are who i suggest you don't use, but if you want to use them, then that's your choice

Mario and friends hit the golf course
It's a really nice game, the controls are cool and it's easy to angle your shots and to know how many strokes you've done. So I recommend to rent it before buying. Hope this was helpful
