Very NICE!!! EA has picked it back up...
This game BLOWS away College Hoops 2k7 by FAR on Xbox 360!!! this games graphics are nice, game play is a lil rough to start off learning the button controls (but any sports game almost is), but as u play it, it gets better to control. the rough side is the CPU defense has a strong stealing and blocking shots without tweaking the game play settings for these two options. But if you slightly tweak these two just a lil, the game will drop down to a more realistic feel, blocks and steals will still be there, but not as unreal as it first seems... great fake outs on the defender, when the game is loading, u can rack up points with the play solo while loading feature, VERY KOO!!! the crowd gets a lil annoying cause at times it sounds like its on a 10 second loop, but u have features to pump up the crowd, pump up your teamates and even pump yourself up as well with the selected options you can choose from. EA Sports has made a good come back from a few lacking basketball games lately (NBA and NCAA) but this is something i am excited to play and cant stop playing!!! this is a MUST buy for any NCAA March Madness fan... but if you are 50-50 go ahead and rent....

This is one of the Best Basketball Games
I have played an enormous amount of basketball games in the past including NBA titles and NCAA titles and have been pleased but I have also been mad at a lot of them. This title puts all of the other crapy games to rest. I loved this game from the first time I put it in. Some people say that it is just like all the other ones, but I say that it is not at all like any other basketball title i have played. What I havn't liked about other basketball titles is that the crowd dosn't make a difference in the games, and the players are only as good as the programers made them. This game is different. You can have a terrible player at the start of the game, but then you make a couple of baskets with him, and your team gets on a roll, his composure goes up and so does his all around ability. I love that feature of this game. Also if you are playing very well in a game, you will eventually get an impact moment that will pump up your team and make them play better but at the same time it will make the other team play worse. That is one of the best features of this game. The graphics are great, a 9 out of 10. The online is also very well done for an EA title. 8 out of 10. All around I would give this game a 9-10 out of 10. Great game and a great choice for rental or for purchase. I would never get bored of this game and I don't think that any one will. A great title!!!

Fun at first, then gets stale
I bought this game because I liked the way the graphics looked and the dynasty looked like it could be pretty sweet. On both of these counts March Madness does a pretty good job. The animations are a little stale and I've tried my hardest to get a closer view of the action, and the camera just doesn't adjust any closer.

The dynasty mode is nice, but when the novelty of how it is set up wears off, the actually mechanics behind everything is pretty much the same as any other dynasty mode. It's not bad, though, by any means.

The problem I have with this game is the actual gameplay and controls. The controls just aren't responsive enough, and the lack of icon passing really hurts the game. When you see a player open, and the circle is around that player, often times you press the pass button to get it to him and nothing happens. Moments later, your player passes to an altogether different player. This happens too many times and hurts the gameplay.

I really wanted to like this game, so much so that I bought it before receiving my Gamefly copy and now I am regretting it.

Don't get me wrong, it's not a bad game, and I've had some fun playing through a couple of dynasty years, but now it's just gotten old, because the gameplay just brings it down. I guess I'm just spoiled with the gameplay on NBA 2K7. This just doesn't measure up in that area. And in the long run, when you take in to account the animations, the graphics aren't that much better than NBA 2k7 anyway.

Game is great
This is the best next gen basketball game out. Bought this game and can't put it down. So many new features, No More Ice Skating around the floor is a big difference, you can't just turbo down the court and stop, because your momentum will take you forward. The graphics are great, I mean this game is leaps and bounds better than live and any 2k game

More Things to Do
This Game is very Cool .....except there arent many features to do...and little things bug you..say if you create a player ..your picture is a black guy..and u should be able to create a school...create uniforms and do warm up drills b4 the game..and when u set up practice schedules and actually do some practice drills..and go to the weight room and train....other then that..this game has really good graphics and the gameplay is better...except when it gets too easy

I can't see how anyone could like this game
Wow - where do I start. Some of the worst gameplay I have ever seen in a sports game. 2K7 blows this game out of the water in that regard. And since that's really the best reason to play a game, theres nothing more to say. player movement is choppy and unrealistic. It's just not fun.

Where's the D?
If you love fast break offenses, this game may be for you. But in all honesty, defense is a joke. All in all, fans of the sport may enjoy it, but most likely they will just be disappointed. As many others have stated, it looks good and it captures the pageantry of the game, but it does little else right. The plus side is the achievements are fairly easy to obtain.

Just a pretty face...
Once you get past how good this game looks you will realize how bad it actually is. Poor AI, random replays, and super annoying MrDick Vitale saying the same thing over and over again. Stay away from this one....2008 was 10X better

EA Shows Dominance of the Slums
I will admit, I like EA. I think that they still put out a quality Football game and an amazing Hockey game. But the biggest complaint that I have with them now is trying to over-arcade too many games. If I wanted NBA Jam, I would play it. If I wanted to get attacked trying to drive into the lane, I would play NBA Jam. NCAA March Madness 07 is terrible at best.

I would hope that NCAA March Madness 08 is better than this, but 07 is pretty much a waste of time. The defense mechanics I feel got more screwed up than previous EA Basketball games and that makes the defensive side of the ball excruciating to play through. The offense is a little better with the dunk animations good, but I feel that college is more about shooting than showboating. The shooting can be glitchy and unless you are wide open, there is a great chance that the player will glitch and you will struggle to make a shot.

Overall, I give this game a 2. It has flashes of greatness, but Adam Morrison dunking the ball at the loading screen is about the only flash of greatness that you will see in this game.

Pretty Good Game
Well this game was fun to play. I liked the fact you could change a lot of the options for the AI and game options like speed, rules, injuries, etc. The thing that I don't like is that I wish EA would come up for a system for all their sports games including college where you could go online, get a complete roster with players names included, not just their number, download the updated roster and let you use it to play offline in Career or Dynasty mode. The graphics were pretty good but I wish I could have made the players a little bigger. There are plenty of camera angles to choose from. If you like college basketball you should like this game, go UofA Wildcats!
