NOTE: Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare is only playable as a multiplayer game online and requires an Xbox LIVE Gold subscription for gameplay.

Garden Warfare takes gamers deeper into the Plants vs. Zombies universe than ever before by combining the tower-defense gameplay of previous games with third-person action. For the first time in the series, you'll be able to play as a plant and really give those dirty brain-eaters what they deserve, or embody a zombie and fight your eternal vegetable rivals. Garden Warfare is a deep game. It features class-based combat, so each plant or zombie has his/her/its own unique power, 4-player co-op, and 24-player online battles - basically an entire PvZ universe is yours to enjoy. Combine all that with the crazy humor and colorful action of the previous PvZ games, and you end up with a killer title.

Xbox live gold required
This may be a great game but I will never know. Xbox live gold is required, there is no offline mode. Gamefly should have some alert on games like this. I wouldn't have wasted my time.

Wow!
For a game that only costs $30 you're really getting your moneys worth! This brings me back to the fun times I had with games like star wars battlefront! I find myself wanting to keep playing just to unlock everything which I can see is going to take weeks or months! Now this IS an online only game so if you don't have Xbox live gold do not buy this game, but other than that, its a great time for a great price!

WHY ONLINE ONLY?!?
Shouldve stuck with the original formula....i dont want to have to play with angry 12 year olds that swear because theyre anonymous and their mommy isnt watching what they do. Should have the option to play single player campaign.

Not worth spending money on this game. You can only play if you have a gold membership so gets way to expensive. Need to make a better version that everyone can play

Pay for the Game and then Pay to play it...
Here we go EA, no wonder you're the most hated company in the world. You buy a game, or rent it thankfully enough, and then you have to pay a subscription on top of that to play it. WTH! EA you suck! I'll never play another EA game EVER! Suck on that one!

Disappointing.
I had it to rent untill I found out you had to have a gold membership, cause it's online only. Not everyone wants to play online. I was looking forward to playing a one player game, but I guess I'll have to stick with the old plants v zombies. Shame it looked really fun.

I should have read the fine print.
I decided to rent this game because I don't have many PS4 games yet and the ones that are out are not my cup of tea. Anyways. I was looking forward to this game. I loved playing plants VS zombies on my phone and well when i got it I couldn't play it. There is no way of playing it with out a Xbox Live Membership. I rather spend money for PN+ since its newer and i have more friends that get on it and play. So I'm disappointed.
