Too frustrating to finish.
At first I was signing this game's praises. It's a very modern take on the classic Sonic games for the Sega Genesis and as such brings back that nostalgic gameplay from that era. It's a joy to play at first, however, the game gets really frustrating as it goes, especially on boss fights. Almost every stage has a boss fight and some of them feel downright "cheap" and overly frustrating. I got about three quarters of the way through this game and got to a boss fight who was extremely cheap, finally defeated him after numerous atempts only to find out there was a second phase and if you die you do the whole thing over again. I promptly the game off, took it out of the PS5, put it back in the sleeve and sent it back to GameFly. I play games for fun, not to bang my head against a wall.

fast paced game
I'm assuming people don't like the fact that sonic is really fast and that might be the reason why people are frustrated with the game. I myself, like the game.
