Good overall, but serious problems
I am very much enjoying this game, but I have a few caveats to let people know about.

First of all, the physics are very well done, but with the inability to change rider position on the fly, this means that at low speeds the bikes become very unstable, but if you try and counter that, they become far too hard to corner at speed.

Also, with only minor customization allowed for the various bikes, you are stuck with choosing one or two bikes that can actually compete in the various races, as opposed to GT or Forza, where you can take a car through many iterations.

Also, there just aren't enough race classes. Sure, there are 90 some bikes available (cool), but most of them are worthless when it comes to races. The bikes are divided into two classes, Street and Racing, with about a fifty fifty split between the two. Yet, there are only three race sets out of 21 that allow street bikes.

The tracks are beautiful, but if you're a fan of the GT series, there isn't a whole lot new here, just some alterings of old tracks by the addition of a chicane or two. (And the chicane on Tsuskuba is a mindkiller the first half dozen times you come up on it).

The addition of 'pro' controls, which let you decide when the rider should tuck, and independant control of both the front and rear brakes is nice, letting you ignore having to play with 'brake balance' and do it on the fly.

BEST MOTORCYCLE GAME PERIOD.
First off,let me say that this game does have it's flaws, one of them being lack of riders on the track(and i'm only assuming it was to better the actual riding experience due to the boundries working on a PS2 title creates)But the makers of Tourist Trophy did an excellent Job on this Game.
As an Avid Motorcycle rider, and A true Gamer,I'm always looking for a good motorcycle game, and this,is it.
One thing you NEED TO KNOW is,If you don't understand the physics of riding a motorcycle, you're only gonna fustrate yourself, and think this the dumbest game ever. The game doesn't really have a tutorial to help you out in the game, just a "race line" that you can follow around the track, turning different colors that indicate where to brake and when to get on the throttle.
(I can only guess that it's because it's geared toward actual riders, than just everyday gamers)
The Visuals are very nice, the tracks are nice and crisp, and if your a Gran Tourismo fan, you'll recognize all the courses. As for Riders,TT,probrably does the best in it's field to make the rider an indvidual,in that you can create your own riding style(BIG PROPS FOR THAT)Most games,it's a sea of drones riding around the course. The Bikes look awesome Very realistic in my opnion. And the Feel of each Bike is noticably different, from one bike to the next. They're are different types of Bikes: Racing, and Street,And your street bikes vary from scooter to Cruisers to Sport Bikes.
Each Track has a unique feel to it,And it looks realistic as well, like I mentioned before every Course in the Game is in Gran Tourismo,so if you have played GT you shouldn't have much trouble getting around.Plus it's alot more fun on TWO WHEELS,or maybe just ONE.Courses do include favorites like Laguna Seca, Virginia International Raceway, and Trial Mountain.
Competition is lacking,Only 4 riders are on the course at anytime, the A.I. is slow and theres not much in the acheivement area either, other wise,it would have been a better game.

Real Riding, not so real racing.
GOOD:
- The bikes look awesome!
- There are a lot of bikes.
- Being able to ride a track and then take pictures which can be saved to USB Flash drive.
- While the controls are far from great, the game seems too easy at times, but that's good because it makes collecting bikes easy too.

BAD:
- Controls (You can adjust nearly everything about your riding position but not the analogue sensitivity).
- The bikes, track, and text only look good when there are fewer than 3 bikes on the track! Otherwise the game seems to cheat by running at half resolution and then doubling the pixel height, thus causing jaggies (or perhaps they just have to turn off all the AA).
- The races are nothing like real motorcycle races since there's a max of 4 bikes and you always start in last place.
- Sure, there are tons of bikes, but too many of them are more than 10 years old or fall into the scooter class. I'd rather race lawn mowers than scooters.
- The game IS Gran Tourismo and that was confusing. Having raced those same courses in cars I'd naturally tend to drive the bike like it was a car and that didn't work at all.
- Physics really is questionable at times.
- Braking in this game seems wrong. All the bikes act like they have linked braking applying equal amounts of both and that's just not right. There is no button for the front brake, but there is one for the rear. A very confusing mistake in a game like this.

To sum up:
Ask yourself what do you want a motorcycle racing game for? If your answer involves getting a good start, a full grid (30 bikes), a checkered flag, and racing on real tracks then this game is NOT what you're looking for. But, if you're a fan of the history of motorcycles, love Gran Tourismo and think it can do no wrong, don't care about authentic racing then you might have a bit of fun here so take a look. Photo mode IS very cool and the images it outputs are 1280x960 and look great.

I do ride (for 30 years) and no my bike isn't in the game (2000 Honda VFR)

Tourist Trophy-the good, the bad, and the ugly
Gran Turismo on 2 wheels is the basis and while that's good its also the bad part of the game. The same tracks, the same look.
The learning curve is a bit more difficult than with cars and some of the physics is very questionable. There are a lot of bikes and the handling on each is different but somehow just doesn't feel like your on a motorcycle.
That being said I am enjoying the game for what its worth but I had hoped for better.

Horrible
While I was playing this game I couldn't get over the fact that everything is the same as in grand turrismo 4. what's point of that Also the controlling in horrible and you cant buy bikes you have to earn them. That's ridiculous just do your selfe a favor and don't rent this game

This sucks
This game is so hard it's not even fun to play in tourist trophy mode. I do not like the lay out of the game. You have to win bikes to compete in races, GOOD LUCK ON DOING THAT!! Any mistake and you fail or lose the race. And you always start off behind about 2 to 3 seconds.

The good parts are that arcade mode is fun. the graphics are the best I've seen, massive bike selection. I've VERY DISAPOINTED in this game. I'm glad I did not shell out $50.00 for it at the store. Not recommended!!! I give this game a D-

Lord kill this game now..
This game is GT 4 without the cars.. But after you remove the (buying the cars and upgrading you cars and enjoying a great racing game.) It is the pain in the rear traces. And add motorcycles with Really bad controls and bad racing and not being able to upgrade them.. And with the cars you didn't lose it every time you left the trace well that has been fixed with the motorcycles. But on the up side they are pretty..lol

It Could Of Been Better
Tourist Trophy:The Real Riding Simulator comes from the same makers of Grand Turismo series. Its has great graphics, realistic physics on actual riders, race track, surrounding of the track. Each riders has it unique style of riding their motorcycle, and sound effects are great too. Tourist Trophy really fall short on the difficulty of riding their motorcycle and adjusting to the different styles of riding your bike. You're constantly falling off your bike every time you're racing its very very frustrating. The sound tracks of Tourist Trophy are horrible. Your best bet is accomplishing your license on the game because its actually easier to control your bike. The game isn't worth $39.99, but if your true professional bike rider and love graphics, well this game is for you.

Could have been better!
Overall, I enjoyed the game. The graphics were good and the bikes and riders were very realistic. The only thing is this game could not keep my attention for very long. Not one I could play for a while. GOT OLD QUICK!!!

Not Good at All
On of the main things the makers of this game brag to have is real physics, yet if you so much as touch anything but the road, grass, dirt etc, your bike falls over even if you are going really slow, and the race ends. The graphics and sound were both good, but the gameplay and controlling were so bad it ruined the game. I havn't played the GT series, but if they are anything like this I reccomend none of them.
