It has some real potential
First off, I have to mention the most annoying thing so far. The lag that I'm encountering is over the top. Every 90 second or so, the game freezes up for about 7 seconds. I sure hope MS releases a patch for this soon. Hopefully the next few reviews in the coming days will confirm that an update fixed this super annoying problem.
One more paragraph of the negative then off to the good stuff. The warm-up and stretches after a workout are repetitive. I got so tired of hearing the guy say the same junk over and over. And from what I've seen so far, the two workouts I did had the same warm-ups. There's also this awkward silence throughout the workout. Maybe it's just me but I'm use to having Tony Horton from P90X constantly talk which I find motivating. Practically all workout videos are like that. I also wish they displayed how long a workout lasted its remaining time. This is pretty essential for those days that you have to be somewhere at a specific time. Finally, the voice commands are extremely limited. I wanted to voice command to forward past the 4 warm-ups but instead I had to do a hand jester with took forever.
Ok now the good: It's a pretty solid and exhausting workout. I absolutely love the "program workouts" They have a variety of programs from 30 to 60 days in length which also pulls up a calender to show you what you have to do and when...awesome. The ability to punch in the amount of weigh is great. Just like "Your Shape Fitness Evolved", you go through an assessment. Your calorie count is displayed at the end of an exercise and you can. There are charts that show your progress which I dig as well. Finally, I love the fact that this game allows you to do a variety of ab workouts which read your movement pretty well. Push-up is another on that the Kinect reads. I like this game better than "Your Shape" although there are some features that I miss from "Your Shape". If I could I would give it an 8.5 rating once the exaggerated lag is gone.

Great Game - READ THIS IF YOU HAVE FREEZING ISSUES
I own this game and love almost every aspect of the game. The biggest complaint that anyone makes about this game is the freezing issue that people are having, I was also having this problem and I did some searching online and I found out that it was an xbox live problem. If you disconnect from xbox live before you play the game you will actually not have any freezing issues at all and I can verify that this works.

Other than that issue I found that this game is great it is really pretty accurate in reading the body movements and it offers several programs ranging from 30 days to 60 days and it really makes me sweat. I really enjoy many aspects of this game and I would recommend it to people of many different body types as a way to help get into shape without having to leave your home.

Overall I think this is a game that is fun and it is a great way for a person to exercise without leaving their house.

Not too bad, but one HUGE flaw...
Since day one of playing this game I have experienced the game freezing. For some games I can overlook it as long as it doesn't happen too often. With this game it gets extremely frustrating when it happens in the middle of your workout. I don't have a problem doing the workouts, but when you have to start all over it eventually you become too tired too make it through it.

Besides that the game it great. I like the workout routines and the fact that it has different fighters that you can hit mitts with and that they all have different striking routines.

If you are looking to get in shape and have fun doing it, I would suggest purchasing this game assuming that the game freeze doesn't upset you as much as it does me.

Not too bad
First thing you have to do with this game is figure out both what you can do and what the sensor will pick up. When I got it I took the first week to sample different workouts and figured out what I was able to do with my current fitness level. Something else you need to notice is that not everything picks up on the kinect sensor. Whether this was due to my preforming the exercise wrong or the game itself I do not know. For example I could not get rows to work correctly so I just don't do them. Sometimes exercises like jumping jacks do not detect correctly but it is ok since this makes you do a few extra.

Beginner's tip: Yes it is a game but it is also an exercise tool. If you go into this game planning on playing for hours to get your achievements up or whatever, then have a lot of pain medication handy.

A step backwards in Kinect gaming.
The game itself is a great idea but the tracking is just awful. It is so bad to the point that you can throw a few punches and out of 5 it will only pick up 2 or 3, then just standing there sometimes it will show punch animations as if you did punch. Bad.

has potential
I think this game has great potential but for some reason it just didn't like reading my body. it was so frustrating! when it did read my body it was a great work out and i definitely broke a good sweat. but when i would do the program it wouldn't read my body 75% of the time.

the thing that was tough about that is that after you did the amount it said to do it would tell you to do more. but i had already done like 20 more since it kept not reading my body! i'm ok with working out hard i've done it for a while but i would just start to burn out so i couldn't finish my routines.

also the voice doesn't work as well as it should. it only chooses to listen to you once and a while. so honestly i think this thing needs a major patch. I gave it a six because i do think it has great potential i really do but i just couldn't keep it for very long due to my frustration. if i find out that a patch comes out for it i'll try it out again but until then i'll stick with other work out routines and your shape fitness.

also i wanted to mention that i have enough space in my living room so it's not a space issue. i have enough room to play 2 player kinect games with ample room on the sides and behind us.
