In this third-person shooter you play Police Officer Jack Slate. While armed with a good assortment of weaponry, up close there are interesting hand-to-hand combat options like disarming your opponent and taking him hostage. The disarming moves at your disposal become more elaborate (and useful) as you advance. Your canine sidekick Shadow can also take on enemies, even retrieving weapons for you in a pinch. Other features include slow-motion gunplay, user-selected camera angles, and mini-games. The story spans 15 chapters.

Not to hard and not to easy!!
im give this a 9 because of the title and because there is no getting shot while reloading or having to wait for the character to switch weapons...i think anyone would enjoy this game...but the only reason i didnt give it a ten is because the boss fight get extremly frustrating if you dont know what your doing so just listen carefully to everything that is said...good game to buy or rent!!!

I count it as one of my favorites
I have read the reviews. This game is a combination of everything I like about action games. I think you can tell a lot about a game in the first hour you play. The first hour is unfortunately hand holding. For me the game really begins when you enter the nightclub. This where the tutorial is worth it and it turns in awesome chaos. The auto aim of Syphon Filter, the slowdown of Max Payne, the fighting engine that plays like Tekken. The canine companion of well, everything. Nobody mentioned these things.
The fact that once you go to prison you have to acquire cigarettes and buy your freedom. This game also is packed with mini games whether it be you dog, a stripper, or a bomb I enjoyed the he'll out of this game.
Unfortunately the sequels took out the mini games because it was a different developer.
If you like your action games with a little bit of something extra try this game.
