ALRIGHT!!
wow! I really enjoyed this game! Played it for so incredibly long! Never really gets boring to me! The aspect of playing as sean connery is awesome! I highly recommend this game! The only thing is the controls are kind of so-so. The multiplayer is really good. And you can replay missions over and over again! Play this game if you know what you are doing with a controller though. Not good for first timers.

Very Classy
FRWL is a great game. One of the few PS2 games I have played that is actually worth buying. The graphics, controls, and game concepts all work well here. I applaud EA's risk with trying a throwback James Bond game. Even though that movie is before my time, the game still rocks!!

From Russia with lots a love
Wow I was really surprised to see a new 007 game which since Goldeneye was lots of fun. I also thought the cinematics were exceptional. The AI was smarter and tougher than most games of this genre making it even more challenging. I think one of the only aspects I didn't care for was the upgrading of weapons. Is it really needed. Does the average gamer really care about upgrading or just playing the game? Overall this is fun game which is great in both single and multiplayer modes. Props to Ea who saved a dying 007 franchise.

I should have known - white wine with fish...
There've been some truly awesome James Bond games in the past (I had many drunk nights of fun with my 64 loaded up with Goldeneye) but the offerings on the playstation formats had been a little weak so far (yes, I do mean agent under fire).

From Russia with Love is a strange choice for a game in my opinion, but this conversion handles it very well. It's actually quite faithful to the film (I know because I watched the thing whilst playing the game). They did add in the jet-packs for no reason, and the bit at the beginning with Natasha Bedingfield as the Pm's daughter is just plain made-up, but the rest of it (including the killer lines) is in tact.

The weapons work well in the game, with a nice precision aim feature - this is very useful for taking out bosses and heavy badass characters. Also, there were lots of different game modes - cars, boats etc.

The game is a little easy on 00 Agent setting, although the bonuses were near impossible. Sometimes it felt a little linear and restricted, but then this didn't matter too much as it Bond.

Shaken, but not stirred.
While the days of N64 Goldeneye may be far behind us, it's refreshing to see EA take a turn at reviving the stagnant Bond gaming franchise by visiting its far distant past with "From Russian With Love".

Sean Connery voices the sauve man of mystery he made so famous, and while his aging voice is apparent, it's nice to see they didn't cut corners in the production values. Also, the environments and character design is spiffy, and they've included the best moments from the film and franchise to boot.

The controls are not too difficult to learn, are the greatest frusteration during gameplay. The camera system could be much more efficient. Leave it alone, and the camera follows you at a safe distance. However, it gets a little tricky when you try to use the analog stick to look around the room/environment, or around corners for that perfect stealth attack. Unfortunately, the car chase levels are next to rediculous, thrilling as they may be. Sharp turns are apparently not the Aston Martin's forte, despite its arsenal of weapons.

The navigation system between save menus is also a little sluggish, but if can work past these minor complaints, you've got a sound game that pays homage to 007's past with some pretty good gameplay and overall good productions values.

so-so shooter
When you first pick up this game you are like, oh boy i get to play a sean connery! But its just not that enjoyable. The graphics are average, and the level design is great. There are plenty of bond gagets, and a fair amount of weapons. In the first few hours of the game I loved taking out people with the bond moves but after awhile the whole thing got repetive. The aiming system is repetive too and basically shooting is just get cover, pop out, and shoot, repeat process until you have beat the game or you get bored. The multiplayer is okay, with traps to spring and great sniping places, but there is no online play.
Overall this game is for the diehard bond fans, its just too repetive.
