When the Ice Age gang stumbles into a whole new world, you'll get a whole new chance to be a sub-zero hero! Sid, Scrat, Diego, and Manny have made it across their frozen home and found a lush jungle filled with new challenges, new adventures, new friends, and...dinosaurs! If the gang's going to survive, they're going to need to use some new tricks. So, for the first time in an Ice Age game, you'll play as multiple characters. Use each animal's skills to complete 15 levels filled with all the fun and light-hearted action of the movie, or round up a herd of your own for four-player mini-games.

Mother of 6 y/o + Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs
This game was visually equal to the film itself, included a wonderful retelling of the movie's plot without too many major spoilers, and was overall a good adaptation of film to game. However, the game itself was much too complicated for my 6/yo to navigate on his own, without constant supervision and the reading of instructions, so I would not recommend this as a game for very small children if only for the difficulty. I myself was able to make it through and defeat the entire game within 4 hours and was a little disappointed at how short it was. The gameplay was pretty much what I expected - simple to navigate/control the characters. It implemented a purchase system where collecting berries for trade meant you could buy upgrades for the weapons and unlock extras, but I didn't find any of it particularly worthwhile. I would say this game would be great for kids from ages 8-13 years, or if you want something fun to do as a time-killer, it's a nice excursion for adults as well!
