In this third-person action game, you are Mad Max - wanderer of the wasteland. You must survive in a harsh, apocalyptic nightmare world, scrounging parts for your car and trying to make it to the Plains of Silence. Of course, many terrible marauders will try to stop you - including Immortan Joe's son, Scabrous Scrotus, and his murderous War Boys. On your quest to the Plains of Silence, you'll engage in tons of car-to-car combat, spill gallons of blood, and otherwise make the end of the world more awesome. Mad Max is heavy on cool post-apocalyptic cars, with customizations like reinforced rams for extra collision damage, onboard sniper rifles, and even a harpoon to rip enemies from their vehicles. Combat is frequent, both outside of the car and in massive car-to-car battles, just like in the movie!

Shiv Master
Mad max is a fun open world game. The driving/car upgrades are fun and worth scrounging for the wasteland for loot. Yes the fighting has a "batman" feel to it but there's "more" moves you will unlock the more you play. I'm only about 6 hours in, and if your like me you'll do more side missions to upgrade your character/vehicle while slowly playing the campaign. Visuals are great, lowering the threat level for different locations is fun and has a purpose. I rented it but I will be buying for sure.

definetly fun game .
So I bought this game , and having gamefly I rarely ever buy titles any more . You play it once , beat it and never play again. Playing this game however is very fun and gratifying . The graphics are top notch, the map is enormous with lots of areas to explore and discover . The combat is awesome , very visceral , violent , and we'll executed. You get a long game actually , anywhere from 35-50 hours of gameplay depending on how you intend to play the game. I like to explore and discover as much as possible in a given area of the map before moving foward in the story missions. Worthwhile to do considering defeating the enemy camps, convoys , mini area bosses award you with upgrades to your vehicle and character progression. Definetly worth a rent guys, game is a lot of fun , worth giving a try for sure.

like an apocalyptic assassins creed
I liked it. Kinda fun, crazy characters. A lot like assassins creed games. Makes you thirsty, and you'll appreciate water a little more after playing a while.

Great rental.
This one has me divided. On one hand it's a Run of the mill open world game with many generic fetch quests. Then out of the blue it will really surprise you with its depth in customization and awesome car battles. The sandstorms stand out as one of the most impressive and genuinely terrifying moments in recent video game history.

Great rent, but not a buy
Loved the gameplay and story, but ran out of content after clearing the strongholds and doing both the sidequests and main story. If convoys (my favorite part of the game) and outposts could respawn after finishing the main story, and the "Death Run" locations offered more courses and variety, then I might be tempted to buy.

Immortan Joe: Ah, mediocre!
You spend a lot of time scavenging the wasteland for scrap to upgrade your car, and ultimately reach the Plains of Silence. Driving around committing vehicular homicide, and upgrading your car making it a more efficient killing machine is fun for a time, unfortunately it gets old quickly. It's too bad the developers didn't add a little more variety to the gameplay (stealth would have been a nice option, so would being able to climb over most obstacles/ledges), the world is boring and lifeless.

Looks Great, Plays Great But failed to deliver
I will sum this up by asking, have you ever seen a movie that you thought had the right cast, right story, right director and still it seems to flop? For this game, Mad Max is a scaled down version of GTS without the radio and comedy bits to help break up the long hours of driving and mindless brawling.
What really soured me on this title was the lack of direction, the first time I cleared JEET's stronghold of SCROTUS enemies there was no interaction with JEET. The sound stopped working around day five and I had no way of knowing when our where the next mission was taking place. Did I mention I restarted the game just to see why, the mission to save PINK EYE never came up? No, well I did., TWICE I cleared JEET then I cleared GUTGASH area of SCROTUS and still no character interaction nor could I figure out why JEET would not give up the Thunderspoon. I was only wasting time until Fallout 4 and that what I did waste time.
After awhile the MINDLESS brawling gets old and the driving around is boring.

Could have been better
This had allot of potential in the open world sandbox format but most of the collecting required is tedious and boring. I wanted to like it more but I just can't get past the repetitious nature of the game for the most part. Some things are truly fun and worthy but just too many are not. Sorry.
