NHL 08
I love the hockey games, but there is nothing new to this game, and you can't change the controller configurations. I was disappointed and glad I didn't spend $50.00 when it came out. Thanks gamefly...!!!

Not my choice
I'm wonder why they even made NHL 08. It's almost exactly the same as last years version. It had the same main menu, same creation zone as NHL 07. The only other difference between the two is that all the players suddenly got worst. I think the only other difference was that they had Eric Stall on the cover instead of Alexander Ovechkin. They should have had not make NHL 08 and keep NHL 07.I would have bought this game if it weren't for gamefly. Thanks a lot.

Eh, not too different from last season
Pretty much just the same thing as NHL 07 with a few cosmetic changes. Commentary still isn't great and the inability to properly edit the national teams is a sign of the makers' continuing laziness with this series.

great game
Other than the fact that Crosby got snubbed from the cover it is still a great game. Everything is great even the rosters are up to date this year unlike the past few years. It's a great game buy it.

NHL 08
Alright like most people said about this game there is no to little difference between NHL 08 and the past couple of titles. The gameplay is fast, the players do move more life like, the goalies do put up a fight but still like past EA hockey games (NHL 06 and 07) you can put up tons of shots and depending the game length you can blow a team out of the water to the tune of 9 to 10 goals and the skill stick is a welcome feature because you can actually perform deke moves with it not some saucer pass. The graphics: they're pretty much the same with a few touch ups here and there the players and the different areans look good, on the down side of the graphic scale the hockey gear haven't updated (KOHO is now Rbk and Bauer and Nike are one company now) saying that Lungo still has Auld pads on from two seasons ago, half the goalies that wear Rbk pads either have them and they're in the wrong color(Mighty Ducks, Sabers with Ryan Miller) or they still have the KOHO pads or if their like Cam Ward who has all white pads not his Vaughn gear and if you try to edit them you won't find pads that come close to the pads he wears. Outside of that it's still a good game of hockey to hold you over until you get a Playstation 3 and play the new gold standard for the EA NHL series.
