Lara Croft is back for another intense, action-filled adventure. This game has everything that fans of the series love. You'll explore huge interactive environments packed with secrets, enemies, and surprises. Rise of the Tomb Raider allows you to climb trees and dive underwater for amazing, cinematic takedowns or stealth runs. And there are tombs. So many tombs to raid - tombs filled with fiendishly clever puzzles guaranteed to bend your mind. The combat is fierce and immersive, featuring Lara's signature combat bows and climbing axe, as well as other weapons. You can change your load-out to configure gear, weapons, and ammo to suit your play style. Rise of the Tomb Raider looks and plays better than the series ever has. It offers film-quality characters and FX, amazingly realistic physics, and full performance-captured cut-scenes.

good play for a rainy weekend
First. Played it on 360 didnt wanna wait till holiday for the ps4 release. Encountered some performance issues like rope prompts to swing from etc. Wanted to try gettin back into linear games cause im having open world game fatigue. Other than minor hiccups I enjoyed it. Graphics okay. Sound really good. Story is so so.

Stuck at aroung 80% complete
Would have given this game a 8+ if I hadn't gotten stuck in a room on the 2nd floor in the Soviet Facility north building. I can see the stairs down, but it's like the floor covers them with no way out. So I had to send it back without finishing the game. This Sucks I was way into it.

It's fun until it gets repetitive
This game s a lot more fun the the 2013 Tomb Raider. The story is great. Lara is more amazing than she was in the other one. Their are a lot more weapons to choose once you unlock all of them you'll pretty much become a one man army. There are a lot more Tombs to raid than there were in the first one. The villains are very good but kind of ridiculous. Especially in the final boss fight where you have to sneak up behind and kill the main boss. Even though you threw a grenade at him and that it blinded him. It makes it really stupid of fight and when he's blind you cant attack from the front otherwise he will kill you. Again I think its a stupid boss fight. The good things about ROTR is that there is much more to explore. More tombs, relics, documents, etc... However once you complete the game their comes at point where you will get bored and eventually want to stop. In fact I think that Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics over did it on the relics, documents, coin caches and other things. So overall this game is great, its action packed, great story, lots of weapons to choose. The reason that it doesn't get a 10 is because it can get very repetitive after you beat the game. I would love for this franchise to keep going it is so well done. Just learn from the mistakes that they've done from the previous games.

The new Lara Croft is awesome
Talk about action packed! This game is an edge of your seat, thrill ride, right from the get go. I really enjoyed the 'Indiana Jones/pitfall' addition of the rope you can swing on in this sequel . It gave the game something new to the franchise, making Croft more versatile than ever before. I really enjoy the fact that this new Croft is more practical in her outfits, and is a stronger female lead. The booty shorts and tank top got on my nerves, you would wreck yourself doing all the stunts she does dressed like that, and what was worse, she always seemed to wear the same clothes. The new croft feels like a real person, and this game makes you want to keep exploring forever. I give it a 9 instead of 10, for one reason, the auto lock for aiming isn't too great, for sure not as good as the game before it. Many times i found myself locking onto a target 20 feet away, when a closer threat seemed to go unnoticed despite standing right in front of me. So for that, prepare to die a few times at some parts. Other than that, a solid game, and I'm looking forward to more.

And the dust settles..
Ignore the high reviews of this game. There's a reason you can buy it for $13.49 less than a year after its release. Good graphics, a lot of cut scenes, over all an average game.

Better than the first
This game was by far better than the first Tomb Raider 2013 game and that's saying a lot. I think I ended up playing the first one at least three times before moving on to something else. I will admit at times this game drove me crazy, but it was exhilarating none the less.
