Average shooter, but a GREAT Robocop title
Short Review: It's a great Robocop title, but if you aren't a fan of the original films you may not find much more than fairly mediocre FPS RPG with an odd sense of humor. Regardless, for a game that was made by a smaller, less well-funded team than most AAA titles, it punches above its weight class. A perfect candidate for "renting before/instead of buying."
Outdated graphics and fairly simplistic shooter gameplay limit the game, but they don't stop it from faithfully recreating the look and feel of the original films. You can feel the love for the old films in every fiber of this game, and even if the gameplay is a little basic, it does a great job of making you feel like the invincible walking murder machine that we cheered for back in the 80s.
The silly, satirical take on a corporate America has aged uncomfortably well, although how you feel about the cops as plucky underdogs will probably depend on your perspective. Regardless, I loved that Peter Wells (the original actor) came back to voice the character one last time- he got some flack for sounding flat and monotone in the demo they released, but having played the game for a while, I'd say he brought the character right back to life and I love him for it.

Great Game if your a Robocop fan
This game generates an unbelievable amount of nostalgia. I watched the original movie again and you can see where they took inspiration directly from the movie. The game is pretty fun overall. The comedy is absolutely hilarious and keeps with the 80's theme. Homeless guys cursing you out and saying absurd sht. I'm docking 1 point for the game not having tutorials on certain skills once you acquire them and another point for bad FPS during zoomed in shooting at various points throughout the game. Overall this game was a blast and will be very memorable.

Great Continuation of The movie
This game is actually very good, some people seem to be hung up on graphics or are looking for a 50hr experience, it's not that, it's a simple FPS that is a lot of fun, perfectly encapsulates the OG movie (1 & 2) and doesn't over complicate things

Exceeded my Expectations, Fun Shooter
A fun and satisfying shooter. FPS games aren't always my first choice, but I enjoyed blowing enemies heads off in this one. Add a little robocop humor in there and it's a pretty good time. A great game that you can easily finish in a week/end.

An encapsulation of 80s action cinema (B+ game)
This game was never meant to be a triple-A title off the bat. If you accept that, you can find a lot to enjoy about this game. It is a first person shooter with a lot of RPG elements. Throughout the course of the game, you'll make decisions that impact the outcome of the story lines you go through and you will upgrade RoboCop's systems with experience earned through combat, investigation, and item collection.

The gunplay works well enough, it's obviously not on par with Call of Duty, but it feels responsive and as you level up your gun you feel significantly stronger.
###
The story, true to RoboCop form, is hokey and corny, but also pretty good too. The plot plays out like it easily could have been a movie in the RoboCop series, taking place between the 2nd & 3rd movies. The characters are pretty enjoyable with allies who sympathize with RoboCop's plight (such as his partner, the drug addicted hobo informant, and the reporter) and enemies you love to hate (the devious crime lord and the scheming corporate executive).
###
The obvious plus to all this is if you already like the RoboCop character and universe and are familiar with it you'll probably enjoy the game more.

This one is definitely worth the rental.

RoboCop is a Cool Dude
I enjoyed the game. I probably won't play it again as to me there isn't enough replayability. The voice acting is what I would expect from a High School play. The actual RoboCop dude is spot on. The developers nailed the true nature of RoboCop. If you like FPS you will like this game for at least the first run through.

Nearly Perfect
Everything about this game is pretty standard, maybe even flawed (like the graphic glitches), but what makes this stand out is the STORY. This is what we wanted for Robocop 3. This is what we wanted for the Robocop remake. The story harkens back to the original, while exploring the depths of several characters, organizations, and ideas. While there is a "new" enemy, unlike Robocop 2, or 3, or remake, that is NOT the focus. The focus is 1) how far is society willing to go into automation, and 2) (most importantly) the answer to the question, which you get to decide, is Robocop more machine or more human. It is a game NOT made for the studios, or commercialism, or to fill someone's ego. No, this was made for the fans, who saw an amazing story in original movie and wanted that story to continue. The story alone, makes this my Game of the Year (although I have NOT played Baulder's Gate 3 yet). If you're playing this for the "game" you will probably be disappointed. If you're playing for the story, you will love it! My ONLY complaint is the lack of a New Game Plus. If that is fixed in the future, I will buy and play over and over.

It has its moments
This game looks like it would be more at home on a PS3 than the PS5. It's glitchy, npc mouth movements don't match what they're saying oftentimes, some of the voice acting is pretty cringe, and the graphics in general are a whiff. It strikes me more of a low budget free monthly game than something you'd have to throw down actual $ for. I did appreciate some of the jokes and dialogue, though. I made it all the way through to the end and that's a testament to it's enjoyability anyway. It would be nice to see a much, much more refined and polished version of it sometimes down the line.
