Insurgents in Panama have kidnapped the ambassador. With full consent of the Panamanian government, you and the rest of your four-man SEAL team have been charged with his rescue! Evaluate your situation from your perspective on the ground, then plan your approach and execute your strategy, utilizing all of the capabilities of your four-man team. Lead your team through nine non-linear missions, each with different and complex objectives. The game was built from the ground up for the PSP, using the unique control scheme to allow you the most flexibility in your attack. Up to four players in Ad Hoc Mode make sure the action keeps coming!

A pleasant change
Socom: Tactical Strike is a tactical game, it even says so in the title. It isn't the FPS everyone is used to, but it is executed in an awesome way. Through switching back and forth between Alpha and Bravo squads, you are able to maneuver around and stealthily gain better ground so you can carry out your missions easier. The only thing that would make this game better is a real controller.<br><br>If you are not into tactical games, skip this. If you like a great non-FPS, rent it, definitely!

Full Spetrum Warrior Fans only.
The game is hot, only if you know what your suppose to do. All FPS fan should stay away from this title. They will misunderstand it and give it a bias and unfair review.

A Different Socom
This is not the Socom we have come accustom to. It is a strategy type game.<br>When you step back and look at it as a non shooter, this game is good. you control Alpha, Bravo, or both. You command them to stealth, cover fire, suppression fire etc. graphics are regular Socom PSP graphics.<br>If people play it knowing it's not a shooter, you will be pleasantly surprised. I'm not a fan of strategy type games but because it's Socom I played it, and it got me to playing the game for hours. Again if you take a step back and look at it, and give it a fair shake, as a non shooter it is a good game.

not like the other SOCOMs
this game you can't free walk. that take all the fun out of combat style games. Not inpressed at all. this game plays like a movie with options vs the old SOCOMs. The other SoComs are good. What happened here?

SOCOM: US Navy Seals Tactical Strike
If you like socom like a do, dont touch this game! You may as well pull out your board game of Risk. All you do here is tell your team where to go with commands. Completely worthless. You dont shoot, you dont throw your grenades, you dont do anything. I am embarrased to say ive even rented this game. Sure the graphics look great like they did in the last SOCOM psp game, but thats it. Slant 6 games really botched this one. Please give the franchise back to Zipper Interactive.

THE WORST SOCOM GAME EVER BECAUSE ALL YOU DO IS CONTROLL 4 MEN AND THEY DO THE rest NEVER BUY THIS GAME AT LEAST JUST RENT IT AND SEE HOW BAD IT IS.

socom: us navy seals tactical strike
i did not like this game in any way. the first two socom games we good, this one ruined the series. first off, one cannot control individual players, you cannot zoom in on individual weapons, it is all based on moving the unit. i was sorely disapointed.

very disappointing
i should of read up on the game before i rented it. it is unlike the other socom games, which r very good shooter games. this one u control all 4 solders and command the hole team. it would be like playing madden football and only coaching the game and not controlling the players. u never control one player at a time, only command him.

BEWARE!!!
This game is not what is as expected. I rented this game, thinking I would recieve a game like the SOCOM games in the past. This was not the case. It is basically an RTS. I sent this back almost as soon as I got it, after I figured out how difficult the controls are and how difficult the gameplay was. I do not reccommend this in any way.
