Shell Shocked
I got this on release date and I returned it that same day. It pains me to say this but platinum games did a horrible job on this title. After seeing the good work they put out using the transformers license I had high hopes for mutants in Manhattan. In reality the game is boring, the frame rate is locked at 30fps, bland environments, bad level design, Extremely short(took about 3 hours to complete) and no local co-op. This game was clearly rushed out the door to coincide with the latest TMNT movie release. If anything this game is worth a rental but in no way worth the $50.00 asking price. This is why gamefly is a great option mutants in manhattan is worth a rental but nothing more.? Show less

Feels rushed, not worth full price
I've been a die-hard TMNT fan since I was a kid, so I was excited to get this game. After reaching the first menu I saw the message strongly urging me to play the tutorial mission. Normally when a game does that, they're letting you know that there are a lot of different game mechanics to master. After playing the tutorial and the first mission I was so disappointed, I immediately sent the game back to GF. The voice acting is good, but the writing feels like its forcing itself to be "kid-friendly." The levels have zero immersion to them. After 15 minutes I'd not only completed the first stage, but also the first boss fight. Clunky controls and AI, coupled with the fact that the maps look like they're unfinished leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I would NEVER pay full price for this game, if I had, I would have demanded my money back. This game is a slight against the TMNT franchise! I would say at least rent it, but I wouldn't even do that. You can miss this one, kids.

Mindless Hack 'N' Slach
Is this game the reason why we all have GameFly....heck yes....is this game repetitive....heck yes...can you shut your mind off for 6 to 7 hrs while playing heck yes. Playing this coop online is a must (granted the computer AI holds it's own on the streets of NY) This game truly isn't that bad. You play through a 20 minute level beating foot or rock soldiers taking out mousers in the sewers and you fight a boss rinse and repeat for 8 levels. The voice acting could use help for sure. I do see how the game was rushed into stores to hype the movie but I feel if they got the voice actors from the new TMNT show that would have been a solid addition as well as a bit more polish to the graphics. The game isn't really based off the cartoon but I feel the current VO actors would have fit into this game. I'm a huge TMNT fan even tho this isn't the TMNT game us fans want it's still a fun coop adventure.

No... just no
Why couldn't you have made a really good TMNT game. This was so bad. Maybe next time it will run like it was made in the 2000s not the late 1900s

Horrible. Bland. Ugh.
I played through the tutorial and the first level. Sent back. Bland level design. Meaningless mission. Horrible combat. Skip this one. Rent the transformers one instead.
