A Solid Rental 8
I'll start by saying I'm a fan of the franchise. I usually buy the games from the Borderlands series because I tend to play them for countless hours just grinding away for the perfect gear drops long after finishing the main story missions. This time I decided to rent. Due to a long shipment cycle, I missed the first week of play after release date. It happens. The main story was really good. Well known voice actors, lots of humor, and genuinely fun to play. The trouble started after wrapping up the game and going into the end game cycle of Chaos Chambers and Chaos Levels. It was at about this time that Gearbox started pushing out a series of hot fixes that would nerf certain gear while buffing other items. It can literally take days to find just the right item to fill out your character kit only to find out the next day, you can only do half as much damage as the day before the last hot fix. It became quite frustrating and basically ruined my overall impression of the game. Knocked out all the achievements and sent it back as soon as possible. Well worth a rent. Not a Borderlands installment that I would buy and keep.

Too much SJW undertones
Overall game was playable but as the missions dredged on and yet another mission with social undertones was introduced I got really irritated. Come on...I don't have anything against any living their lives, but this being shoved down my throat (no pun intended) made the game more about social agendas than actually telling a good story. I had to quit after the alternative lifestyle pirates quest. I'd rather go endure Cyberpunk again than this attempt at being diverse.

get woke go broke
didn't even play this trash. forced to pick pronouns in the character builder before you can even play. I don't support this kind of garbage but if it gets you all sorts of tingly inside then go for it

Better than BL3
I've played every game in the series and the dragon keep dlc was one of my favorites, that being said maybe I am just biased because Tina is my favorite character. I've had this rented for over two months now and just went ahead and purchased it because I am no where near done. I started bl3 with friends but we all got bored with the influencer bad guys. I've still not finished that because I find it's the worst in the series and thats including tales from the borderlands. I don't know what other people are talking about because to me this feels more like a real part of the series. There are weird glitches and stuff but I find that's across the board with games these days but I have enjoyed the game despite any issues like that. Also I thought single player might be weird given that it's mimicking a table top game but just like with bl1 and bl2, wonderlands is also enjoyable if you are playing alone. So I think it's definitely worth a rent even if you don't want to commit to a buy it's still a good game. All I am saying is if you like the series and have a GameFly sub don't take any of these reviews as facts, just rent it yourself to decide because I am a fan of the series and this title while others didn't think it was worth a 1 rating.

EXTREME POTENTIAL but lacking severely
Tiny Tina's wonderlands being made from the obvious creators of Borderlands one through three had major high hopes let's just say they did not deliver. As a player who has been a major Borderlands fan for years jumping into Tiny Tina's Wonderlands was a new gift and hopefully a new experience with all the mechanics I and other fans loved. Unfortunately the old mechanics were completely destroyed or removed... New Game Plus was one of its major selling points and they removed it, with a player beating the game there is barely any content for the player to explore aside from the most boring endgame content that is so repetitive and most players will not grind because there is no reason to. The next major selling point is its loot system the legendaries are basically all outmatched by rare or epic items... being able to massively improve your character by finding a legendary which we all seek and to find out it's trash compared to a rare item is a major letdown. finally the story was mediocre at best absolutely no good character aside from Tiny Tina herself of course that's just my opinion. In conclusion to all players who read this looking to buy this game my recommendation is do not simply rent it and send it back. sorry for the extremely criticizing review but if you're looking for a new Borderlands game don't expect this to be it.
