First Man

This biopic is based on the official biography of Neil Armstrong. In the film, Ryan Gosling stars as Neil Armstrong as he prepares for the legendary Apollo 11 mission. It begins nearly a decade before the historic mission, when Neil is merely a NASA test pilot. The story follows him and his family as the Space Race ramps up. A few years later, Neil enlists in Project Gemini as an astronaut. Several years pass as we get closer to landing a man on the moon, and Neil moves up in the ranks to become the commander of Gemini 8. As the launch date for Apollo 11 approaches, Neil must bid his family farewell as he risks everything for one of the most dangerous space missions in history.
