This indie game combines three genres to create a gaming experience greater than the sum of its parts. Armello combines tactical card play, tabletop strategy, and RPG elements in a fantasy game designed for players to experience their own epic adventures. You are a hero from one of the clans of Armello, and your goal is to storm the palace and become ruler of the land. To ascend to the throne, you'll quest, plot, explore, and battle monsters and other players. It's a game of betrayal, close shaves, shattered alliances, and cutthroat tactics. In other words, it's the perfect game to play online with friends!

Decent, held back by lack of local multiplayer
This is a pretty fun game overall, but the biggest oversight in my opinion is the lack of local multiplayer. Essentially this is a board game, and a pretty fun one too. However, playing against the AI has only so much merit, and the multiplayer is online only. While that does provide an avenue for multiplayer, a board game like this is much more fun played locally. The response from the developers about local multiplayer is that since you can play cards on other players turns, they couldn't implement a hot-seat type multiplayer. However, I fail to see why it couldn't have split-screen. Obviously you run the risk of screen cheating but that could be said about pretty much any split-screen competitive game. Anyway, in the end this is a pretty fun game, but it would be much better and would've gotten much more playtime for me with some sort of local multiplayer option.

Don't waste your time
I typically like turn based games, but not this one. The only reason I gave this game a two instead of a one is because it had well designed and cool characters.

board game
kinda interesting board game. decent tutorial missions, has single player vs AI as well as online multiplayer. though the political intrigue aspect seems lost a little without a regular group of friends to play with. also unfortunate that unlocks require a certain numbers of games played with either certain characters or victory types. seemed decent for about a 1 or 2 days rental. rabbit clan ftw!
