Its Diablo
If you've ever played Diablo you've played Diablo 4. Not much as really changed. One of my complaints is they push the online only but removed the jump in jump out ability with randoms that have an open game like you could in D3. In D4 you basically have to beg for assistance if you're playing solo. On one particular boss I spammed the help button for my 10 minutes before I was able to get someone to join me. Hopefully they'll add that feature in the future.
At the end of the day I just got bored.

Great for first 40hrs
Thoroughly enjoyed for first 40 hrs. great story, graphics and refined gameplay. After I completed the story however, I felt there wasn't enough to keep me playing so quickly lost interest.
Do a lot of side quests and exploration early on, because you won't care to once you finish the story.

Yes! Yes! Yes!
not familiar with the Diablo or dungeon crawlers games but this is an awesome open world action rpg with difficulty settings so that doesn't have to be super challenging like some of these other rpgs

Thought I'd need rehab...but I don't
Diablo has always been about getting that next dopamine hit from clicking on things and things popping out of those things. It has never required a real grasp of strategy or any real dexterity but you got that hit every time a shiny new item popped out of some hideous creature because you smashed your mouse button 300 times. And at first this one hits those beats just like you would expect it to. But thanks to one of the games most innovative features, the ability to take aspects off of legendary items and place them on other items, turns the game into a monotous grind fest. Once I collected a full set of legendaries that had the properties that I wanted I was afraid to upgrade because I didn't want to take an aspect and put it on an item that I would later regret and the property would be gone forerver. In the end I stopped caring about any gear that dropped and I didn't have enough interest in what was happening in the game to make up for the lack of excitement. The game isn't bad by any means, but it's so focused on optimization and finding the perfect gear that I just stopped wanting to push the buttons and get random gear, which is kind of the point. It's definitely worth renting, but I think you have to fall in love with it hard if you're going to keep playing it in the long term.

This is not Diablo
The 2 things that made Diablo what it was are gone. The map is fixed and loot is now tier/lvl based. You know it's a mobile game model now. I knew they would just copy and paste Immortal. I understand some changes like no stamina and the ability to reset skills at any time but the ease of play changes have removed tactics, skill, or challenge. Equip 3 skills and walk forward through waves of enemies that's it. That map is vast with long stretches of nothing, kinda like it's on purpose to get mounts more importance aka store items. It gets dull rather fast, especially since they launched early and when I started playing on the 8th, there was nobody around. So I beat Diablo 4 solo, fun Oo. Honestly if it didn't have the Diablo name it would just be an average game or it would be a great Gauntlet game that's how arcade like it feels (there's even treasure goblins). I know video games the way I used to know them died long ago but this one is just a little harder to take because Diablo 2 is my favorite game of all time. I need a new hobby...

Worst Diablo EVER!!!!!
Enemy scaling is the last thing you would ever want to put in this type of game, but they went and did it anyway. And if that wasn't enough to ruin the game, every single skill, and I mean every one for every class, is just dumb and borring, which makes the hole experiance boring and pointless when you have nothing to look forward to getting in your skill tree. I tried out every class, and they are all boring and have nothing that makes you go "ooooo I can't wait to get that unlocked". And the "ultamate" skills are a joke. they do less damage than your first skill you get at the start of the game, just with an added insain 70+ second cooldown, oh and non upgradeable. These people they have making games now a days must be hobos off the streets cuz they are dumb as a box of rocks.

Great game, not perfect
I see too many haters and too many worshipping this game. It's a good game and I look forward to the additions to come. I definitely agree with everyone that says it should NOT be online only...unless it's an MMO no game should be in my opinion. Not perfect and not terrible like so many are saying.

great game!
Addditive! hours pass by before you know it. No bad loading times, no frame glitches, great upgrade ability.
If you're a big looter and character builder that's into action games you'll love it.
