Did not disappoint!
I'm not sure what these other reviewers are on about but this game is top tier! Only a few minor complaints I can think of right now but I'm having a lot of fun playing it. GOTY so far in my opinion.

Please put the whole game on a disc, thank you.
A disc game, but still requires an internet connection, because the whole, thing ain't there.. I was going to get this, but I think I will pass on it, at least for now, and may be they can put the rest of the game on the disc with the game of the year edition(the complete edition.). Kind of boring too. For a movie tie in, potential for this game is awesome in that it doesn't completely suck. For those wondering why online is a deal breaker is that we would like to preserve the space on our hard drives, since a bigger hard drive for ps5, can cost almost as much as a new Ps5! We are not made of money, folks! If they could put the whole game on a disc that would make this a keeper for sure.. But until then wait, watch, for fully complete edition.. One more thing, rumors are circulating that this series has been invaded by the woke mind virus, truth be told, I didn't see too much involvement in this version of the game, but just be careful in any event..

BETTER THAN THE MOVIES
DID NOT CARE FOR THE MOVIES BUT THIS GAME IS GREAT. ABSOLUTLEY ADDICTIVE FUN. BY FAR THE BEST GAME OUT THIS YEAR.

must be able to down load patch to continue play
just got the game today......the first 20 minutes allows you to play.....then the game stops....and will not allow you to continue.,...unless you update a huge massive update patch......the graphics are beautiful hands down.....and gameplay is pretty simple....I'll update more on this review in the future thx

very good but a lot of pointless tasks
This is a very fun game. Combat is fun, dialogue isn't bad and gameplay overall is good but there are a ton of time consuming pointless tasks. Travel somewhere to speak with A just to travel to buy something from B just to travel to C to plant a flower and wait 15 mins for it to grow. You get the idea... lots of loading and meaningless tasks, would benefit from more action/combat even if it's a shorter journey.

Its ok.
I only got to play the first 20 minutes of it, however I did know before they sent it out that internet was required. I just did not expect the download to be so large. I had to send it back the next day and I was rather disappointed because I waited forever for this game to be released. Always read about the games beforehand because this is not the only one that requires internet. it says on the front of the game description clearly that internet was required. It seems to be a decent game. Hopefully they change this to where everybody can enjoy. I can't do the patch download without running out of internet data. NOT HAPPENING!!!

Time gates on in game actions...
(Currently) this is limited to potions and growing plants, not sure if anything else in game is like that. However, that's just bloody inexcusable. Then there's a longer time for plants. I'm honestly not sure how you'd encorporate plants here (make it grow spell? it IS magic). fun fact tho: never in ever are these put into a game "for the fun of it." garbage...

This game is so fun
I grew up with Harry Potter. I would run around with a chopstick pretending to cast spells with my sibling as a little kid. On the p.c. a long time ago I played like this Lego Harry Potter game, and it was a blast for me. This game is so fun for someone who grew up with Harry Potter and enjoys the lore and playing as a student in Hogwarts, and can explore the open world. I actually decided to keep the game. It's a really easy, non stressful game for me. I like really Skyrim and Oblivion, and games like that where you can wander in an open world. I like how I could make my character look like me. I feel like the graphics are okay enough, and my main complaint is when you try to walk or run through doors it feels like it takes eons to load which is annoying. Also, if you teleport somewhere or whatever, the load screen is obnoxiously long. It is what it is though. I'm having fun but it could get boring for some people with the repetitiveness. I recommend this game for big Harry Potter fans.
