With complete access to the concept art, props, and character designs of Peter Jackson's visionary Lord Of The Rings movies, Electronic Arts recreates the intense action of "Fellowship Of The Ring" and "The Two Towers." From the big screen to the little screen, Two Towers brings you into the action and drama as Aragorn, Legolas and Gimli. With third-person action, you'll fight against impossible odds: Moria orcs, Uruk-Hai, the Cave Troll, and Saruman the White. Wonderful 3-D environments from the movies transport you into Middle-Earth, from Moria to Amon Hen, from the Plains of Rohan to Helm's Deep.

Don't be fooled by Fellowship of the ring
We all thought Fellowship of the ring stunk, but that shouldn't stop you from playing the others. While this one isn't as good as Return of the King, it's definately still worth a play.

Pros:
Play as your favorite characters from the books/films.
Follows the story fairly closely.
Great hack and slash gameplay with optional long range weapons for every character.

Cons:
Low replay value
Some battles can be frustrating

Great execution for a movie/book title.
This game really is excellent, however there were a few things that made me choose to rate it a little lower and I will explain. But first the good news: Awesome graphics including all accurate character depictions and movements, large environments with no loading breaks, and an engine that can keep up with (what looks to the human eye to be) 100's and even 1,000's of characters on the screen at once. This game is exactly like the movie, and it allows you to play with mutiple characters and upgrade their moves as you go (very cool). Now for the bad: 1.)Very difficult unless you play it on easy mode, and even then you will end up playing the harder levels multiple times before beating them. 2.) The controls become a little too confusing to remember all the moves. The button combos become long chains that only work if you do them perfectly like square, circle, R2, x. Then you will have another move that is x,x,square, circle, triangle. This is a bit much to do perfectly in unison while constantly being interupted mid-combo by the 7 Orcs that are hacking at you from every direction. I found it most valuable to use my upgrade points on the simpler moves that involve button combos like square+X at the same time, and X,X,X,triangle (very easy to remember), and then purchase the health and bow & arrow upgrades. 3.) The camera angles get weird at times. You will sometimes find yourself in a huge battle and somebody from off the screen will start slicing you up, if you turn to fight him, the guys you were previously engaged with then start attacking, and you have to move outm of that camera glitch area completely if you are not to die.All in all a great game, especially for people who are fans of the movies and books. I suggest buying it if you are a big fan of the movies, because you will play it over and over. If you are just a big gamer, definitely rent, but don’t bother buying it.

Pretty darn good...
If you're into really simple hack'n-slash games, this game is for you. the graphics are well done(except for the fact that some of the characters don't really look like their counterparts).Once you beat it, you unlock Isildur (you know, the prince from the first movie, who kept the ring)

BETTER than the third game
I don't like the graphics as much as the third one, but i think its even more fun than the third one, like you don't struggle through characters, like witch one should I choose?!" and its a bigger challenge, like protecting things and you get to fight more when you protects interviews with and it only has a few things that weren't in the movie.

Fun but easy
This game is fun. The controls are great. The graphics are okay. But its just to easy. I beat it in 2 days. But its still fun. Its better than the third i can say that and there's other extras when you beat the game. Overall its a great game

good game
Can't wait for the new Lord of the rings game that's coming out on the PS5. Paid off my Pre-order and all that's left is playing the waiting game.

This game should come with a warning label
The game overall is cool. The game play is fun and, for the most part, the controls are easy. BUT, there are plenty of other things not so great. You start right into the game, not having a clue what anything does. (Unless you actually read the instructions carefully) You have a crash course in how it all works and get right into it. I had it on easy to start with and I had some major problems. In one of the first levels you fight a cave troll, and boy, its hard. As the game progresses the levels become extremely hard. The last couple of levels are next to impossible to beat. The other thing is the combos. They do help some, but their hard to remember, and they don't always work in the middle of a fight. If you fought guys one on one they'd be great, but you only fight one on one maybe 2 or 3 times. It is a fun game, but gets frustrating quick. Definitely not a game someone who is not used to a console can just pick up and play. Unless their a genius.

okay
it being an older game makes it acceptable. the only thing bad about it is the graphics. On level 3 if you play as Legolas the guys that shoot arrows at you shoot so fast you can barely get a shot at em but other than that it is a good game.

No imagination
To like this game, you have to give up all love of rpgs and purely love the original button masher and other games like Mortal Kombat.

I don't know where to begin with this "game". Half of it is just cut-scenes from the movies, with a battle thrown in between them. The battles themselves are just ridiculous. All the buttons are a fight move, but they don't really have much distinguishable difference other than the "full power" attack that you have to use to gain the most "experience" racking up "perfect" and "excellent" kills so you can upgrade your attacks. The game play, when you're allowed to play, requires no thought or strategy what-so-ever. Right out of the box I was scoring "excellent" missions just mashing buttons. That's really about all this game is. As for replay value, many missions you can go back and fight as other heroes to gain more experience, with the overall objective to score "perfect". That's pretty lame. If you wanted another RPG-esque like the first one, this isn't it. I got up to Moria so far, but I just can't take this game any more. If I wanted to watch the movie, I'd plug it in instead of the game. In fact, I think I just may go do that...

The Fellowship of The Ring game was far from perfect, but atleast you got to play the game.
