The famous Tekken franchise blasts onto your console in its most advanced form yet. Powered by Unreal Engine 4, the 3D battles are rendered in beautiful, realistic graphics with silky-smooth animations, and the gameplay and controls are fantastic. There are over 30 characters to choose from, ranging from Tekken favorites to a crossover appearance from Street Fighter's Akuma! Tekken 7's roots in arcade are evident, but there are some new features here too. Gameplay innovations like Rage Arts, Rage Drives, and Power Crushes are new to the series and give experienced users some new techniques to work with. Whether you play through the epic single-player storyline or face off online against friends and strangers, Tekken 7 is guaranteed to get your blood pumping.

Simply Fantastic
I really enjoyed this Tekken game. The game is amazing. The way they portrayed the story this time was very cinematic, which I very much enjoyed. I would've gave 10 if it was longer. The menu music though.....wow. Keep in mind that it is an end to a saga and let the tones blow you away.

Great addition to the franchise!
Feels just like the old ones and looks amazing. Fun character customization and quite a few different game modes. If you're a fan of the franchise definitely one to pick up, if your new to Tekken it's a great game to break into the series.

A Major Step Back For The Series
I have been a Tekken fan since the third one. So, please believe that I don't get any pleasure when I say that Tekken 7 is a disappointment and a major step back for the series. Let's get the major problem out of the way first, online doesn't work at all. Everybody is already mentioning this in their reviews and it is true. But this will be fixed, eventually. Once that is the case, consider this review 3 stars.
As for the game itself, it really is bare bones considering the amount of content that Tekken games usually offer. With Injustice 2 offering weeks and weeks of entertainment and a great loot system, you will literally be done with Tekken 7 in a weekend. I played the game for 2 and a half days and I only need 3 more trophies to platinum the game. So this game is perfect for trophy hunters, you will get the platinum in a day if you wanted to. However, those 3 trophies I don't have are online so I cannot platinum this game until online works.
The story mode is weak and it clearly shows the developers don't know how to handle a mode like this and wow on that voice over job the journalist and narrator does for story mode. It is House of the Dead 2 bad. How is that allowed in a triple a game in 2017? The individual stories are even weaker and are only one match. A lot of characters and modes that are usually in Tekken games do not show up and treasure mode gets boring after awhile. Virtua Fighter 4 did the treasure mode first on Playstation 2 and it was better in that game.
Tekken 7 clearly cuts corners and goes on new territory that the developers don't know how to handle. Don't consider this a game but consider it a test for now and when Tekken 8 comes out, hopefully they will sell us a complete game that doesn't take over 5 years to make. Oh and for Ps4 Pro owners, it is not PS4 enhanced, They couldn't be even bothered to do that.

Only okay
This was my first Tekken game, but I've played several other modern fighting games. Overall, I felt like this game wasn't bad, but it just wasn't great either. It didn't do anything really badly (other than the horrifically broken online which I'm not factoring into this review since it'll be fixed soon), but it just doesn't really do anything particularly well, either. Pretty much every element of this game is done better in another fighting game somewhere.
If you're a fighting game fan it's probably worth the rent just to try it out, but I wasn't particularly impressed.

Tekken
I feel like it's good compared to some tekkens of the past, but this is 2017. They could have stepped it up a lot better. It was hard to choose between a 6 and 7 rating
