From the creators of Abzu, The Pathless is a mythic adventure game about an archer and an eagle in a vast forest. Become the Hunter, a master of archery who travels to a mystical island to dispel a curse of darkness that grips the world. Forge a connection with your eagle companion as you hunt corrupted spirits, but be careful not to become the hunted yourself. Explore misty forests full of secrets, solve puzzles in ancient ruins, and test your skill in epic battles. The bond with your eagle and the fate of the world hang in the balance.

A lovely game
Very atmospheric with unique transversal mechanics. Not as big or deep as Breath of the Wild but anyone who enjoys that type of game should give this a look.

It’s just ok
Didn’t expect much from this, but figured I’d give it a try. It’s basically a large run you run around, solve some puzzles, and fight a couple monsters and that’s it. There is nothing to do between boss fights except solve puzzles. Graphics are meh, plenty better on the PS4. Unless you got a couple hours to waste and run around solving easy puzzles, and winning even easier boss fights, then you will enjoy it. Otherwise this is just a super easy fairly repetitive waste of time.

Super Chill
The Pathless is a relaxing puzzle and exploration game. Story has a simple premise but a lot of well-written world building nuggets can be found when exploring. Other reviews criticize the game for the lack of map, but I found the "sight mode" to clearly show places of interest I hadn't completed yet. It made very easy to do everything. Puzzles follow a few core principles and were varied enough in my play through. None were real head scratchers but challenging enough to pause for a minute or two. Bosses are fun and the game is very forgiving with those fights so they are not too frustrating. Overall the game is very family friendly with the bosses (especially the last one) maybe being a little intense visually for little ones. The game can be really short, but I platinumed in in about 25 hours and didn't feel like a chore. I really enjoyed this game.

Missed the challenge.
The Pathless is a beautiful game with a soundtrack to match. The game is an open world puzzler where you have to travel vast distances to various puzzles around the world in order to progress. The world in which you play in is quite large, but you have no map to guide you. I would have preferred the developers spending a little less time building out such a large world in lieu of putting a little more time into the puzzles. The puzzles are challenging at first, but are quickly solvable as you complete more and more as they do not vary much. They have a Legend of Zelda feel to them as you have to figure out how to hold down buttons and move items to align the perfect shot, but the solutions are often too clearly marked by world cues removing a lot of the challenge.
I would recommend to play this as an in-between game to cleanse your palette between large, long, games. Though I wouldn't recommend it if you're looking for something to really sink yourself into for hours and hours.

I loved Abzu, this is pretty great too
This game didn't have the meditation moments like Abzu, but it was still a great game! The controls are really intuitive. I was worried about aiming a bow but it pretty much does it for you. This is a super chill game that's great for playing while listening to podcasts. Time to platinum for me was about 21 hours so if you need a quick game to play while waiting for new releases this one is perfect!

Enh
Really cool art design and a fun little story, but the game progresses like molasssssses. Controls are decent, but the dash being based on spirit requires constantly shooting your arrow just to traverse the map.

Indie Game Fun
The way you traverse through the game is all about rythem. More pronounced titles could make use of more engaging traveling systems like Pathless does for it's entire basis. The art style is simple, the puzzles are satisfying and easy with simple controls while the story is cinematic and calming. Theirs no equipment menues or skills to be concerned with, not even a life bar. It's purely explorative and puzzle solving with smooth controls and platforming. The bosses will test your rythem and platforming skills with little conciquences.
