Yoshi's Crafted World

This game is so much fun to play either alone or with another person!!

Usually I do not like platform games. Kirby Allstars was below average for me but this game was surprisingly fun. It is an easy game but the puzzles and mechanics are very refreshing. This game is also beautiful. Fantastic game!

If you played yoshi’s wooly world then I can tell you that this game surpasses it in every way. Notably, you can now freely aim the eggs! The checks-points are gone- you spawn where ever you fell off the stage! There is a indicator for nearby flowers! Costumes are like armor providing extra protection for yoshis hearts! My only critique is that there could’ve been more incentive to collect flowers- unless your a completionist then there’s no reason to go back.

The game itself is a fun platformer, that uses perspective to make it unique. However, there is little to no challenge or difficulty.

This game is so lackluster I love Yoshi as a character but this game is just so boring, The graphics are a nice style but the gameplay is hindered by stop and go mechanics like the egg throwing. What makes the game even worse is the lack of diversity in the music which gets old fast. Overall if you are looking for a pleasing easy game to play with a child or someone with the skills of one then by all means get this game.

Or even replaying Woolly World. The challenge level in this game is so low that it's just boring. I don't know why Nintendo decided after Yoshi's Island that the series should be made for literal babies, instead of for everyone. Stages have almost nothing in the way of meaningful platforming until nearly the absolute end of the game. The changes made to egg throwing let you throw eggs into the background and foreground, but there's nothing fun about this, and it slows the game down so much. They try to pad out play time with scavenger hunts for various collectibles, but thankfully these are mostly optional. I wouldn't go as far as to say this is a bad game, but it's just so boring and unmemorable in every way. I will say that this game has one of the worst soundtracks I've heard in a long time, though. The game has one main theme (which is bad), and it remixes this main theme for every single stage. The remixes are even worse though, and there's only like five of them. Hope you enjoy listening to out of key xylophones and kazoos.

I missed out on Yoshi's Woolly World so I'm glad I got to play Yoshi's Crafted World when I got the Switch. What a fun game that gets pretty challenging. The only reason it's not a 10 for me is because I found I was getting sick of the levels pretty quickly when having to play them backwards and forwards multiple times to get a 100% completion.
