This remake of the first game in the Mario and Luigi series is engineered for maximum delight. Someone stole Princess Peach's voice, and the famous plumber brothers must travel to the Beanbean Kingdom to retrieve her missing voice. It's anything but an easy job - Superstar Saga's many levels require platforming skills, brains, and fast reflexes. Luckily, Mario and Luigi can combine their powers with Bros. Attacks that increase the damage they can deal. In the new Minion Quest: The Search for Bowser Mode, you'll play as Captain Goomba. Told from the perspective of Bowser's minions, your job is to recruit famous baddies like Shy Guy and Boo to stop Mario and Luigi!

A triumphant remake
"Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga" has always been a fantastic game, and it's just gotten better! I admit, I was a little concerned at first that the revamped graphic style would rob the game of some of its charm, but it doesn't. Objectively, the enhancements in both visuals and music are great improvements. Also, Nintendo has made some minor but welcome tweaks to certain aspects of the gameplay, such as the new ability to display a mini-map on the touchscreen. If you've played and enjoyed "Superstar Saga" on GBA or Wii U Virtual Console, then you'll definitely have a blast with this remake. And if you've never played "Superstar Saga", then what are you waiting for?

IT'S SO BEAUTIFUL!!!
I played the original, but wasn't interested enough to finish it, both on the Gameboy Advanced and the WiiU port. But this remake, I didn't want to put my 3DS down until I finished it. The graphics are so much more pleasing and fun. A lot of more friendly-user RPG mechanics have been added, a yellow arrow on your map to indicate where's your next destination in order to continue the story, Bros. Attack Timing is more forgiving, and the touch screen allows for quick navigation of abilities and a mini map so that the flow of gameplay isn't halted. The average run time of this game is 29 - 30 hours.

Cute but too easy
It's cute and fun but the combination of the slow pace, thin story, average dialog/humor, and linear progression wasn't enough to get me hooked after 5 hours of play.

Prettier with a fun strategic minion sidequest.
I was annoyed about the minion sidequest until I realized I could go back to the main game whenever I want. I just have to remember where I left off, lol. I haven't played far enough to figure out where the Bowser's inside story comes in though unless it's only the minions story. I'm liking it so far.
