This fully 3D Adventure Time game gives you the chance to completely explore the land of Ooo with Finn and Jake. After discovering a ticker-tape machine that prints out mysteries, Finn and Jake go into the investigation business. In a series of connected adventures, they explore iconic AT locations like the Candy Kingdom and Wizard City to solve the mysterious cases. Along the way, they'll interact with all of the best-loved characters from the show. This is the first Adventure Time game that features the entire voice case from the cartoon. The focus is on exploration and puzzle-solving, but there are plenty of chances for Finn to bust out his sword and go nuts too. Between cases, you can even kick back in the treehouse, hang out with BMO, and pile up tons of treasure.

No reason to play it more than once.
Finn and Jake are back and this time they’re out to investigate (sort of) things that are going around in Ooo (Why do they call it that? Because everyone goes “Ooo” all the time?”
There are five cases for the player to get through, and most cases go about the same way. First, you pick up every single item you can, talk to everyone you can, then you find a puzzle which you need to use an object on (or a object made up of other objects put together).
That’s right, this game is your basic point and click adventure.
But it’s not really bad. The voice overs are very good, and I was interested in seeing how the stories played out (except for the last one which I didn’t really care for). And some of the puzzles are very inventive and fun to solve.
However, other puzzles don’t make much sense (use a feather on some guy to make him sneeze some frosting? Really?)
And I didn’t care for the alien guy telling me how to play the game – he got annoying after about two minutes. And the moral at the end of the game felt like it was tacked on.
But the biggest problem with this game is that after you finish it, your only option is to start all over again from the beginning. You lose you loot and all the awards you got up to that point.
This means that all the button mashing fighting you did in the game was for nothing, and those awards you unlock for finishing a level or listening to all the possible records at Finn and Jake’s Hideout were also for nothing.
I would’ve like to have the ability just to choose an episode and play through it again.
Still Finn and Jake’s Investigations is a fun point and click adventure. But the lacking replay value really takes it down a notch. RENT IT.
