Who needs a license to kill when you're a rogue MI6 agent working for the bad guys? GoldenEye: Rogue Agent plays with the fantasy notion that bad guys have just as much fun as the good guys. As a dismissed 00 agent now working for Auric Goldfinger, you will team up with Oddjob, Scaramanga, Xenia Onatopp and Pussy Galore. You will also have to watch your back, because not all villains are allies. GoldenEye: Rogue Agent features all of the style, globe-trotting excitement and neat gadgets that make regular Bond flicks a riot. Modes include single-player story mode, multiplayer deathmatches, and innovative war games for single and multiple players.

the worst in the series
this game is pathetic. the enemies aren`t to sharp with guns, the levels are pretty long (just like every other EA game), there is a messed up glitch were you shoot over the enemies head and they take damage, WTH?, the graphics aren`t stunning and last, what in the name of ice cream is that blue blood-like liquid that comes out when you shoot someone?!

gameplay: 5.2
graphics: 7.1
recommend: no

If I had a golden eye, I'd see an optometrist
GoldenEye: Rogue Agent is a game that should never be confused with the N64 masterpiece Goldeneye 007. In fact, you don't even play 007. In fact, 007 dies in the first mission. At this point you realize the game developers are creating some alternate James Bond universe and you're stuck playing in it.
In a nutshell, you play a rogue agent (duh) who gets hired by Goldfinger to gain an upper hand on Dr. No. Strangely, since this is bizarro James Bond land, the supposedly dead characters from the series are back for you to kill in a whole new way. You get branded GoldenEye, as they upgrade your retina upgraded with a few special abilities.
For the most part, these abilities have limited use. You might throw up the shield once in a while if you get in a tight spot or use the hacking device to access bridges or environmental traps. But for the most part, these are extraneous.
What sinks this game is the gameplay. Somehow, the shooting part of the game isn't very good. And that's inexcusable considering it's an FPS. Like Halo 2, you can hold two small weapons at a time, or one large or a small and default weapon, like grenades. However, it doesn't allow you to toggle between two weapons, so you're stuck with one until you wrangle another. You can't jump (hey, why would a secret agent need to jump, right?). Targeting controls are jerky, which makes aiming tricky.
It's hard to recommend a shooter that can't get the shooting part right. I mean, the original Goldeneye on the N64 had revolutionary controls and the original Halo brought shooting controls to near perfection. How this game got off the mark is beyond me.
Shooting goons and blowing stuff up is fun. Then again, you can do the same thing in every other FPS. You can play it, but you can also play tons of better shooters. It's your call.

Your Standard First Person Shooter
Despite playing the villian in the 007 series, this game isn't all that exciting. It's your standard first person shooter. It will get old after the first dozen levels, but you'll keep playing because you know you're almost done. Then when you do, you'll never play it again.

black eye for goldeneye
probably one of the worstest games ever. i dont evan now where to begin so lets start with a title the nintendo 64 version of goldeneye was better than this,i would rather hook up my 64 and play that with its low poly graphics compared to this they should have never used that for a title. second i wouldnt even consider this a 007 game even thou ea tries to poe ray it. a lot of dark areas because of low lighting typically. dont recomend.

game play i thought was so bad that i only played a first few levels and decidead to watch the conclusion on utube to save me some time.
