Maneater is a single-player action-RPG set in the unforgiving waters of the Gulf Coast. Fight to survive in the open ocean, with danger lurking at every depth. Your only tools are your wits, your jaws, and an uncanny ability to evolve as you feed. Anything and everything are on the menu - kill or be killed. Eat, explore, and evolve in an open-world action-RPG! Play through a full narrative, story-based campaign narrated by Chris Parnell (Saturday Night Live, 30 Rock, Rick and Morty). Feed on humans, consume nutrients, and find rare shark loot to evolve past what nature intended. Explore seven large regions including bayous of the Gulf Coast, resort beaches, industrial docks, the open ocean, and more. Experience a living world with a full day and night cycle. Unlock and equip various evolutions that improve and enhance your shark as you progress through the campaign. Hunter Parties and Bounty System - the humans fight back! Battle against various types of hunters ranging from small skiffs all the way up to the coast guard!

If you can play it elsewhere, I'd suggest it. This game had framerate issues on my Xbox One S last year, so I wasn't going in expecting this to be better. Honestly, it runs decently. I haven't had a lot of framerate studders/skips as I thought I would have. It can be tough at times, but it's still an interesting concept. Draw distance kind of sucks, but that's usually something you expect nowadays on Switch ports. If you only have a Switch and curious, rent it! You won't hate it.

Great Game but has some snags

Overall, this is a great game. The game CAN be a little difficult, but that is by design. Though, I noticed some bugs, first the shark or your pray can be slapped into a wall, in which case, you gotta restart the game. and the larger areas can have multiple loading screens within them once your shark becomes fast enough to outrun the npc spawning. I assume that this is a hardware limit though.
