A very under appreciated game
I was extremely disappointed to see how poor the reviews for this game were. It has one of the best stories in gaming history and the gameplay is incredibly fun to play. There are two problems though, 1. the game is way to short, 2. the games graphics are ugly to look at. If you can get past these faults, than you're in for an incredibly rich and deep gameplay experience.

Blue or Red Pill?
First off i liked the game because i like the movie and no i didn't go dressed up as Neo or Morpeus when i went to go see them.<br>What I liked about this game was the storyline and the game play. I liked the voice acting even though it wasn't them. I liked the missions even thoug they were a bit long. I didn't like the alternate ending to it though. I liked it that you could do sword play and the way you could do the gun fights.<br>Pros:<br>The storyline was good<br>The game play was alright<br>The mission were really good<br>Cons:<br>If you target a guy and you kill him your still locked onto him when he's on the ground.<br>It didn't help either when the camera made it so you couldn't see Neo.

The Path of Neo. Friend or fluke
When getting this game I thought it would be horrible. But when I played it, it was amazing its shooting system is fun and the hand to hand combat is so much fun I could not get enough of it. Plus the game is LONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It took me a couple of months to beat it. The graphics also are o.k it is not the best graphics on a xbox game. One of the only problems with this game is the diversity of weapons and guns. There are maybe 5 weapons and 10 guns where as some gun games have 20 or 30 guns. But the fun of shooting people outweighs the lack of guns. Same goes for the hand to hand combat weapons. So, in conclusion, the goods outweighs the bad. I would definitely reccomend this game to all hardcore fighting or gun fans for that matters and it is a definite "must have" for matrix enthusiasts.

Do I really need to say it?
This is a MASSIVE improvement over Enter the Matrix (which I unwittingly picked up a copy of, since the words "The Matrix" were in the title), though i'm pretty sure just about any game can beat ETM, save for a few. The game's graphics are better, animations are upgraded so now Neo doesn't run like Smith in the first scenes, etc. Gameplay rules too. Do you know how much fun it is to unleash the combo known as "The Beginning of the End" on a Smith? Lots of combinations can be performed. Fun!<br><br>Graphics<br><br>Well, I wouldn't excactly say that they're the best graphics in the gaming industry, but I like them. It seems that instead of spending all the money on graphics, it looks like they spent all the money on coding the storyline. After all, it's the freaking STORYLINES that make the game, not the GRAPHICS, as some people seem to give games a 1 to 4 rating and complain about the graphics ONLY. The graphics are very well done in my opinion. It manages to capture the badass bullet time effect and animations. They look almost lifelike to me. My biggest gripe is Morpheus and Smith. Morpheus has something ugly going on his head, while Smith's face looks slightly squashed and his hair too neatly "parted."<br><br>Gameplay<br><br>Woo. The Big One. The story is amazing, since it fallows all three Matrix videos. Plus it adds a few unseen elements, like ETM did. In short, it rules, and the combat system ain't too shabby neither. The default layout seem to work perfectly for me, as I can literally chain multiple combos together, which is useful for "The Burly Brawl" (aka the awesome 100 Smith battle in Reloaded). If only we could play the highway chase...<br><br>I think I've reviewed someone's ear off. I've told you the pros and cons. People give bad reviews about this game, but I can't see what's so bad about it. I freaking love this game!

If you didn't like this game...
...then you obviously didn't like the film either. 'Path of Neo' is an extremely entertaining adaption of the film, allowing you to relive certain scenes that made the trilogy entirely. The pros (well, other than some periods of choppy graphics, what's not to like?) of this action-packed, futuristic take on 'Alice in Wonderland' are plentiful, the best being the endless arsenal of martial arts moves, which leads you to say "Who needs a gun?" and "You couldn't do half of this stuff in 'Enter: The Matrix'." Other pro's include the constant storyline, which even allows you to reinact your favourite scenes of the film trilogy and the ending (which I'll keep a secret). If you even glanced at the cover of this game, rent it, but i say buy it. Especially if you liked 'Enter: The Matrix.' The Wachowski Brothers have done it again. Now, if they could only bring the PC's 'The Matrix Online' to Xbox Live...

Do Yourself a favor and take the red pill
This game should have came out 2 years ago, but even then the graphics would have been outdated. I myself am not a big graphics whore. I only start to realize the major flaws in the graphics when I'm fighting with the great idea on paper but not thoroughly executed in real life targeting system. For anyone who rents this beware when trying to shoot an enemy the targeting system will still lock on to him even when he is dead making you want to kick your TV in when you fight big groups early in the game. The combat system tries to implant some strategy to the hand to hand area but fails to make it necessary resulting in pounding the buttons when they show up on the screen. The one thing I did like is that It tried to add a little humor and satire to the game. Path of Neo recognizes itself as a video game and It pokes fun at the whole Matrix franchise in a good way. Way too hyped up for its own good I think it's best if you rent it but If you are a Matrix completist then its a must have.

Almost but not quite
First of all, i HATED Enter the Matrix so i wasn't expecting much but after playing it for a couple of hours, I had some fun. Though the graphics are REALLY bad, and Neo sounds nothing like Kenao, the combat is pretty good though all you have to do is hit the focus button and press the x button as fast as you can, but the moves on screen look pretty good and if you learn some of the combos, they are actually pretty cool to look at. But over all, The Matrix: Path of Neo is an average game with horrible graphics and voice over but most people will buy this game for the combat and that's why i gave it a 6 out of 10.

I took the Red Pill
The Good:<br>- Playing as Neo and seeing the story and action unfold.<br>- Very cool looking combat moves.<br>- Ummm, I rented it?<br><br>The Bad:<br>- The controls are SO bad! How can you play this game? There are so many "context" sensitive actions that it's checking for that I often found Neo doing things that I didn't want simply because I wandered too close to a wall. I really wanted to love this game, but the constant fighting against the AI for control of Neo just made it frustrating. I played it for an hour and it made me so mad I nearly threw my controller, and that's not like me at all. The next day, I sat down, cleared my mind and got back into it. Every time I'd start to get into things Neo would do some wall flip when I just wanted to dive forward.<br>- The controls are really complex. To pull off the moves you want is just so tricky that it felt more like luck. Bang the stick around, mash some buttons, and see some random cool thing happen.<br>- The graphics were not the best, but I'd have been happy with them if I could have had better controls.<br><br>Summary:<br>I'm going to say that this game just wasn't for me. The controls were a real issue for me but that might just have been my own problem. The combat is really cool to watch and if you can get a hang of controlling Neo then I expect a fun time can be had. (Maybe I need a new controller, probably need new hands)
