One of those hidden gems
This game is one of those games at GameFly is great for probably not the greatest graphics maybe PS3 or slightly better, but the game is absolutely incredible if you’re a terminator fan must play, at least rent, I bought it however. The further you get into the story and the better weapons make it super fun when you can finally start blasting the terminators. Just plain fun

Must play for Terminator 2 fans
The game has a well thought out story that incorporates Terminator and Terminator 2 into It's world. I won't go into further detail for spoilers sake, but much of the story wraps up near the end. This is common in games, but it presents a pacing problem. Being so, it's story is still better paced than the awful TLOU2.
In the game mechanics section this title takes direct inspiration from Fallout 3, but on smaller, sometimes linear maps. A Walking Dead style choice system is present, but not as impactful as the aforementioned title. Controls are a bit odd at first, but you'll quickly adjust.
The graphics and sound are good. Postprocess blurring and film grain are used, and you can turn motion blur off, so I suggest you do. Particle effects are a major draw of the game, lots of smoke and fire, but in intense scenes the frame rate drops to single digits. However uncommon this is, it did crash my PS4 Pro once. Certain areas put lots of AI on the map at once so you feel like you're actually in a war zone.
The guns sound just like their movie counterparts just like the musical score, which is phenomenally used to great effect, especially in the late game. It's enough to make any Terminator fan giddy. This was probably the best usage of licensed music I've seen in a game. My heart would skip a beat when I heard the awe inspiring music for Terminator 2: Judgement Day while fighting an army of terminators with my resistance allies.
Lastly, I can safely say this is the definitive Terminator game I've been waiting for since falling in love with Terminator 2 as a teenager when it released. The atmosphere is 100% spot on, flawless. It's dark, dreary, desperate, and dreadful. It has a few technical shortcomings, but it can't take away from the jaw dropping awesomeness of being a resistance in the annihilation zone. If you like Terminator 1&2, play it. If you LOVE Terminator 1&2 you MUST play this! Trust me ;-)

Not just a great Terminator game, but a great game overall
Like many before have stated this is a Terminator game for the fans. They have the music, sounds effects, and the incredible Terminator atmosphere to make a legit experience. Leading up to the events Terminator 2, this tells an awesome story of the Resistance. Gameplay includes scavenging, crafting, planning your attacks, and of course plenty of explosions and taking down the machines of Skynet! I played on the PS5 that includes the free enhanced edition, which has faster load times and better resolution/framerates, and includes the sweet Infiltrator Mode. Great game, definitely recommend.

I didn't expect this
I received the game in the mail and thought, "We'll see."
I was hooked almost from the get go. The mechanics are easy to use and the game offers just the right amount of challenge.
I love first person shooters and I highly recommend this one. I don't believe you'll be disappointed.

really good game
It's about time someone had made this game. This is one of the best games I've played. Although I'm a huge fan of the terminator games, I especially like this one.

FUN!
This was a really fun game. Decent story, lots of fighting and shooting, cool upgrades on guns, you can either sneak around or all out pray and spray, If you like FPS, you should give it a rent! Its not too long, but it is fun.

A must play for fans of the movies.
When I loaded this game and watched as it introduced itself, I got a sense that I was about to be disappointed. I saw that iconic shot hit the screen, the one from the movie, with the human skull on the ground in the forefront and a destroyed wasteland in the background. The skull looked like junk; and when the foot of the terminator stomped on it, I knew this was subpar. Almost quit, almost. Glad I did not.
The graphics, character animations, and so on are not what you'd hope for and expect from a current game. But that being said, it was a really good story and gave a point of view that set up the first movie. Completely plausible and let's face it, when you make a multimedia project based on time travel, stories and timelines are limitless. This game even dropped reasons why the terminators had the human faces that they wore.
If you love the Terminator series, you will love this game. And towards the ending battles and that Terminator Theme playing constantly in the background, You will be charged up, kicking butt and taking names.

easy platinum
I got my first platinum trophy playing this game and I have over 2700 trophies so it was very rewarding. The game is short and fun if you take the time to roam around and gather supplies. Worth a rent if you are into trophies!

Bargain Bin Gold
Despite clunky controls and terrible graphics. This game is really fun, worth at least one playthrough.

Better than expected
I'm not a hardcore first person shooter fan, but this game surprised me and I really enjoyed playing it. The only real downside for me is that the game seemed very short compared to other shooting games I have played. I was really enjoying the game and before I knew it the game was over. The subquests are good and including more of them might have helped lengthen game play. I liked that you could customize your plasma weapons and choose how to upgrade the main character. Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be much replay value once you beat the game and there is no new game + feature that many games incorporate. Definitely worth a rent, but probably not worth buying.
