Mega Man and the brave Zero are back in an all-new PS2 debut adventure for the blue superhero's 15th birthday. The Red Alert Syndicate has been gaining power and must be stopped from terrorizing the populace. But it seems Mega Man is caught up in some sort of moral crisis, so you must initially take on the bad guys by switching back and forth between a mysterious new hero, Axl, and Zero. Axl has an arm-cannon and the unique ability to steal opponents' DNA and then transform into his enemies. Hop in your giant mobile armor suit to blast colossal enemy bosses and machines with massive firepower. Team up with a friend and play cooperatively, switching characters at will.

For Fans
This game, while an important step for Mega Man X fans, might be better avoided for your casual gamer.<br><br>The gameplay is concise and controls are responsive, however, continual switches between a 2D enviroment and a 3D representational environment might leave someone a little disoriented.<br><br>Sound is generally accurate and well done, remaining true to previous Mega Man titles. However, voice acting is atrocious. If that's a concern for you, you'll have a big let down, as characters speak with no feeling in a monotone.<br><br>It tends and tries to stick more to the side-scrolling aspect of previous games while trying to introduce elements of a 3D environment. The next title does not move in the space of 3 dimensions, which would lead me to conclude they saw this as a failure.<br><br>If you're interested in the plot of Mega Man X, this introduces an important new character, but other than that, nothing else quite important happens. If you're a devoted fan, you might want to consider it. However, if you're new to the series, you would be much better off starting with the next title, X8, or a collections disc.

This was AUSOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!- !!!!!!
This game mixs 2 and 3d camras and are very fun. Zero is bad but in this game. And a new carictor emerges and his name is Axel and he flys like X in his Ultimate armor. If your are smart you should get this game!!

far worse than even the SNES Megaman games
Megaman X7 is only for Megaman X fans, and only after they recovered from the overwhelming disappointment at how awful it is. Game suffers from grainy graphics, ugly colors and cel shading, simplistic levels, laughable boss fights, and terribly slow character movement.<br><br>The one neat thing about the game is that Megaman X is not playable in it! (at first) You start the game with just Zero and Axl. I actually think that's a really cool twist.

Changes are never good for this series....
Im about the most avid Mega man fan you will ever meet. Ive played every one in the original series and the X series up to this one. Why do we have to go 3d...not only is it glitchy and look wierd at times, its annoying to aim with. Yes there are 2d areas but there few and far between. 3d Mega Man is my worst nightmare. Im hoping they ditch the 3d idea and go back to what worked for X8.

Mega Man X Episode 7
The Seventh installment of the Mega Man X miniseries. Mega Man X 7 was okay, great animation, voice acting was terrible for some of the characters, like Zero, X, but was great for Alia. You couldn't play as X from the beginning, unlike the box picture on the back. X isn't missing, just retired. You only have one armor just like the first 3 games, No Z Saber for X, no Z Buster for Zero, only 4 [technically 3 with selectable armor] playable characters X, Glide Armor X, Axl and Zero. Unlike its two predecessors: X5 only had Zero, Falcon Armor, Gaea Armor, Ultimate Armor [optional, code or other], X and Fourth Armor & X6 only had Falcon Armor, Ultimate Armor [with only a code], Blade Armor, Zero, X and Shadow Armor selectable characters and armors. The biggest problem, getting knocked down. UH rank is hard to get if you don't have a cheat code.

It's okay but..
The game is fine. Some bits bugged me (2-D to 3-D jumps for example). But my major complaint is the voice acting. It seems lazy. The worst example is Flame Hyenard. BURN To THE F--king ground, you annoying POS. I muted my TV for the duration of my play through .

3D really....
ok megaman games are just not ment to be 3D graphic upgrade from X6 was nice but not necessary if your a fan of classic nes,snes,ps1 megaman games id stay away from this one but i do highly recommend X8 it completely succeeds where this horribly fails i give this game a 5 just for the 2D parts its half a game in my opinion probably my least favorite megaman game besides legends.... and what do those 2 both have in common...
