Above average rental
Game is a fun time waster. Mostly though you just wander around pushing X. Fun part was feeling OP most of the time. Stormbringer is an excellent skill to get early on, especially if you've never played before. Game was a tad glitchy as it shut down twice in three days.

Quirky but this was a rent to buy for me.
While this is not a perfect game I still enjoyed it. Bought it on sale on psn. It's much better to play with a group. There are some bugs one should be aware of. Loot drops may fall through the floor and become impossible to pick up. While this is rare you should still be aware. While it lets you pick up another class at lvl 8 not all are compatible. You can pick whichever you want but it'll only make the game more difficult if you try to use an off combination. Another thing, combat is not the smoothest. Diablo 3 did it better on console. To select specifically which enemy you'd like to attack you would have to hold down the attack button which then brings up this targeting cone you can aim at whatever you'd like to target. Some kind of auto move to attack system I don't particularly love it but not a deal breaker. It does show that cone thing in the videos above but it feels chunky to me. Sorting through your inventory is another huge fail. Only allows auto-sort which often never quite optimizes your space so as to allow the gathering of max loot before having to teleport back to town to sell. Sidenote, I have played this on pc way back when so I mostly just skip all the dialogues and stuff none of that seems to be different. It has a much smoother play-feel on pc because you can click directly on what you want to attack there's no silly cone selector.

Like Diablo, But Boring
I can't overstate how ridiculously repetitive this game is. In combat you can just hold down your basic attack button and take a nap because it auto-targets until all enemies are dead. You can't even turn up the difficulty because you have to beat the game on Normal first. On the few bosses that actually deal enough damage to not be able to just stand there and whale away, they can easily be kited to the edge of their boundaries, making them also incredibly simple and repetitive. Inventory management is a nightmare, but it doesn't really matter because most of your loot is trash. The passive skills are OP and there's very few active skills anyway; for the most part it's just you and the Square button, over and over again. I can't recommend renting this unless you have absolutely nothing else to play.
